I also purchased this gun for my daughter. I had previously purchased her a 22 magnum revolver without realizing that most 22 mag revolvers have a necessarily heavy trigger pull. Something to do with the need for a heavy strike to set off the primer. So, I went with the U.S.A. made Charter Arms 32 mag.

I am very happy with the quality and finish of the gun, especially for the price. My daughter shoots it well and it seems accurate enough for the task at hand (short range self defense). I purchased some 32 SW Long wad cutter rounds for target practice and some hard hitting Buffalo Bore 32 H&R mags. for self defense. These supposedly hit a little harder than most and have the anti-flash powder for firing at night.

The recoil on the 32 H&R is noticeably lighter than the 38 Special and is much better for shooters with smaller hands. Very advisable for inexperienced shooters who rarely handle a weapon and just need a home/vehicle defense weapon.
