I absolutely love this pistol. I own the Sigma SW40VE-allied, and plan on buying the 9mm version in August (if I don't buy the M&P version instead).
Yes, this is a scaled-down, meat and potato's pistol, and all the reviews that I have read of the same model in a different color say that the trigger pull is too long and that causes a pull. If you use the very pad of your finger, there is no pull, I promise you this; in fact, the Trigger is the ONLY safety feature (there is a small hook on the back that disengages when the trigger is pulled, which is why the trigger is slightly longer).
But it's like my CWP instructor told us in class, safety's are like any other mechanical device, and could fail when you need it not to. I would not want have one fail on me (or engaged for that matter!) when it could mean my life, and I would bet on this pistol ANY day!
