To make this change out easy, I found a youTube video named "Tapco Intrafuse SKS Rifle Stock: Installation" to replace this exact stock. You can see it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a0xsY-nlk1A. I followed exactly what he did and it worked out perfectly! I also bought (like he shows in the video) the tapco gas tube/upper rail. I only had two simple issues during the swap. First, I had to file the top of the gas tube just a tiny bit to get the retainer to close (exactly like he explains when he made the video 5 years ago, I had the same issue) Second, I had to drill the hole for the trigger assembly spring just a little bit bigger to get the spring to go in the stock. Those were the only two minor issues I had and besides those the swap was super easy. The stock kit, the gas tube kit and the new tapco magazine all worked perfectly! It has transformed my old nasty wood stock into a modern SKS black beast! I suggest you watch the video and see how easy it is, the swap only takes about 20-30 minutes. This was my very first rifle stock swap project and it was even easier with the video. The tapco products worked awesome despite the 2 minor fixes which anyone could do.
