Very Reliable!! Great Price!! If you've made the decision to incorporate a shotgun into your home defense system, this is a very good choice. Mossbergs are known for production very reliable, high quality shotguns that are sold at a great price. The 590 and 500 defense shotguns are notorious for the quality of the product. These shotguns can be expected to last a lifetime, and passed down to the next generations. I've got both a 500 and a 590 (models 50420 and 50663) that are used primarily for home defense. We do take them out to the range once or twice a month just to have fun shooting them! My wife actually enjoys shooting them, and has claimed the 590 as hers. I may have to buy another 590 just to get any trigger time in the future!
