excellent pistol. the etching on the slide where it reads "SIG Sauer 1911" was a little light. I sent to Sig and they took care of that extremely fast awesome modern looking 1911.

Largest caliber I have carried. Original intent was to qualify as on duty pistol however, advice from superiors as well as trainers decided to keep it as a home defense firearm. It is heavier than other pistols I have shot, slide racks real smooth, carry concealed a few times; not ideal but can be done. Hands down the most accurate 1911 I have shot thus far. Buds as always is great period. My third purchase and all have been flawless. Now to the Sig........ if your a 1911 fan as I am get one it will be your new favorite too. Feeds everything I have ran through it CCI to Tula. About 400 rounds total now and only 1 FTF, second mag during a rapid fire so probably me. Trigger breaks like glass @ 4 lbs, super tight slide/frame fit. The Sig shoots better than my ability but 3" 9 shot groups @ 20 yards makes me look like a better shooter than I actually am. IMO the standard other mfg's should be aiming for.

I've had this Sig 1911 for several months now. I'm not a writer, but I'm moved to write this review after shooting a few boxes through my Ruger SR 1911. Comparing the two, the Sig is so sweet. Nice heft, minimal recoil. The Ruger felt skinny and light. The recoil, as I neared 150 rounds during one session, became brutal. The gun slammed back into my palm. Not so with the Sig. I love the Sig! Oh, yeah. Bud's was cool, too.
