Some say "If it's a 1911, it has to be Colt's" Well, I say "Phooey"! My Sig will out-shoot any over the counter Colt's on the planet!! I love this weapon. I have place over 5,000 rounds through the pistol since I purchased it with no problems. I have used a wide variety of different manufacturers 230 grain ball and hollow point rounds including reloads with no problems. It is accurate and reliable as ell as a pleasure to fire. It is my primary weapon to carry. The night sights are great also. I highly recommend the pistol a a great purchase for the price.

Transaction went smooth gun came in excellent condition and as advertised. I put 100 wally world white box with no hiccups and it is a very accurate pistol and looks and feels great in my hand. Heavy but very comfortable grip angle. The night sights are sweet. thye are super bright and now this gun can double as a nighttime SD gun in the house. As for any 1911,I always throw away the mags they came with and get some Wilson mags, the ones that came with the gun arent the greatest. they work but you may have to play with them some to get the extra round in them as they are 8 rounders. The grips are awesome so I will keep them on there. When I upgrade I will obviously get some VZ Frags but the ones on now are great. I picked this gun up from my local FFL on Friday and put 650 rounds through it over the course of the weekend. I shot Remington UMC .45ACP ammo, which is fairly cheap but very dirty. The gun didn't have a single mishap -- not one failure to feed, failure to extract, stovepipe, etc. Definitely Sig Sauer reliability. For home defense, I attached an Insight Technology M3X tactical light on the rail, which makes the 1911 look even better. After about 500 rounds, there was some play with the right side grip, but that was quickly fixed with an Allen wrench. I'd recommend this gun to anyone looking for a quality, high performance 1911 suitable for shooting both targets and home invaders that won't run you over $1,000. Needless to say, Bud's was spot-on with their fantastic service. I don't buy from anyone else.

UPDATE: Folks, this one is a keeper. I've had a chance to get two range sessions in with this gun. I'm very impressed with this gem. I had been without a 1911 for a year or more and had the itch. I wanted a custom gun but did not want to spend $2,500. A friend recomended I try the Sig 1911. I am so glad I did. This gun is crazy accurate and I'll be enjoying it for years. I put a TRL-1 on it for my second range session. The capabilites are greatly enhanced. Even though the gun has night sights, the rail is amazing. Using a weapons light is simply the way to go for home defense. You are illuminating your target well. If that doesn't deter them...then doom on them. SIg's got these 1911's running well. Great triggers, great sight profile, outstanding knurled frontstrap, excellent grips, Nitron finished stainless and overall excellent heft. I want another in 4" w/o the rail for carry. When I'm ready, I'll be looking for one here.

I just recieved this gun from Bud's yesterday from my local FFL. All I can say is that I'm very, very pleased. Derek was a lot of help when I put the gun on layaway as he pulled the gun and provided me with the serial number of my gun as well as the date of manufacture. My gun was made on Jan 15th of 2010. This assured me that it was made after Sig altered the some things in the production of this series. The gun is flawless and came with all the items it should have. I have taken great pleasure in removing the blue Sig band from the grip and wiping down all the packing lube. The slide assembly is nice and tight and lock up is solid. The trigger is smooth and breaks clean...just like I'd hoped. This is a substantial piece of plunder....very solid and heavy for a 1911. I can't wait to get my tactical light installed and give this beast some range time. I love the darkened Nitron finish over the stainless steel frame and slide. It's going to wear in and look better and better with use. The grips are outstanding....very attractive and checkering sticks to your hand wonderfully. These combined with the checkered front strap make the perfect combination. I'll update when I get some range time. This is my second purchase from Bud's and I made another today. Bud's is an excellent resource and one that I'll continue to support.
