I bought my Sig Sauer 1911 from Buds in April of 2008. Upon receiving my pistol about 2 weeks after i ordered it. I was very pleased with the look and feel of the gun. However when i attempted to chamber the 1st round the gun would not chamber the round fully and became jammed to the point to where it pulled the slug out of the cartridge and stayed lodged in the barrel. I removed the blockage from the barrel, I stripped down the gun again, cleaned all excess lubricant, reassembled the weapon and tried to chamber a different brand of ammo but still encountered the same problems. I have actually got to fire the gun 3 times and it has jammed badly every time. The gun also arrived with a bit of rust in and on the hammer of the gun. I get to talk to Sig tomorrow and see what actions they take. So needless to say this hasn't been a pleasant experience for me so far. I have heard these guns were a bit quirky until u break them in but this is rediculous. I bought a SIG based on their Rep for quality and reliability so this is a major let down. I own several glocks and out of the box they have been flawless. I sure hope Sigs customer service makes this right quickly. Stay tuned for updates.
