Great quality for the money. Almost entirely metal and wood-- even the magazines. With trigger adjusted (directions are actually in the manual-- imagine that!), and a high magnification scope, it's no problem to shoot sub-moa groups at 100 yds in real-world outdoor conditions using the set trigger. My only caveat is that the CZ 453 shows definite ammo brand preferences; my rifle shoots 17gr HPs well, but does not group as well with 20gr HP or some brands of 17gr V-Max rounds. Other 17 HMR rifles I've tried, even different brands, show similar preferences.
Would recommend this rifle over cheaper alternatives from Marlin, Savage, etc. The set trigger alone, when adjusted to your liking, is worth the additional money over a savage with the accutrigger. Short of a true match grade rifle such as an Anschutz or a Cooper, this is a high-end, well built weapon. Called CZ to ask a question about magazine availability and found them to be very helpful, as is Buds.
