Another flawless Buds transaction. H&K was a slow acknowledgement for me as I progressed through what fits me personally, but I am now sold after many many firearm trials, purchase and sell cycles. Bottom line ranking for any firearm, has to be that it fits your hand first and that is number 1 criteria period. After that, ability to shoot the firearm reliably time and time again after thousands of rounds and cleaning cycles. In both cases for me, H&K fits the bill and even compared to what I find (for me) to be the standard against any and all pistols (German P226), the HK holds up to any scrutiny or comparison. Finish out performs even the Glock after thousands of rounds (Sorry the SIG Nitron shows wear much faster) and even though the SIG standard and SRT as well as Glock trigger resets are shorter and perhaps more desireable at first impressions, I would recommend the prospective buyer to study and investigate the V1 (approx 4 1/2 lb) LEM Trigger on these and any of the other H&K pistols it can be installed on. Reset weight and travel is similar to a stock P226, and has proven to be very accurate for me on detailed data and scoring taken over thousands of rounds on Biannchi cup AP-1 targets at 15 and 25 yards.
As a side note, I have trouble accurately shooting 40 S&W but the same LEM V1 trigger on a little P2000SK also results in tremendously satisfying experience with nearly the same accuracy out of it's little 3.26" barrel! Simply can't explain that.
