Well I must have been one of the lucky people who received a flawless 930 SPX..Before signing my transfer paperwork at my FFL's I examined the shotgun closely for any of the problems many buyers have encountered including canted (either left or right) front sight tower, loose trigger assembly, forearm retainer, mag tube & capacity. Everything seemed in order & the gun looked great so I signed for it. I got it home & low & behold it would only hold 6 rounds of 2 3/4" Birdshot shells--I tried Remington, Winchester & Federal shells but to no avail it would not hold 7!!..I broke the gun down cleaned it thouroughly including fieldstripping it & removing the trigger assembly to clean it, Which any gun owner should do BEFORE firing a new shotgun or any firearm for that matter. To my astonishment there were 2 identical followers in the mag tube which was preventing it from holding the advertised 7 rounds. I do not know if this was an oversight on Mossberg or if (which is what I think) the shotguns are shipped w/ 2 followers to comply w/ several states (I think Massachusetts & Connecticut) that prevent AUTOLOADING shotguns from having a capacity of more than 6, but this is just speculation on my part. Upon removing the 2nd follower it holds 7 easily including buckshot & slugs!...So w/ a little work this shotty is now my bedside home defense weapon of choice & I just got done putting 200 rounds thorugh her & she ate every single round right up w/ out a malfunction or jam of any kind! Beautiful weapon & also reminds me of why I field strip & clean every new weapon I purchase BEFORE firing which every responsible gun owner should do along w/ reading the owners manual as well as familarizng themselves w/ the function of their new weapon..Of course Buds service was flawless, shipped immediately upon my echeck clearing..Buds prices just can't be beat period!! Thanks again Buds!
