The online transaction was uneventful. Bud's did a good job with communication about shipping and help with online chat. The selection of FFL dealers is a great help. The rifle was just as I expected. I knew from the start I would change the trigger before shooting and purchased this savage knowing I would do a barrel change soon. Savage barrels are so easy to change. The action is not as smooth as my Savage 12 target action but will probably wear in and smooth out a bit or I can do a little polish work to make it better. Like I said, I knew these facts going into the purchase so there were no surprises. Overall a good rifle and the transaction went smooth

What a shooter. Shoots 1" with just about any load. With minor load set up shoots 1/2" or better all the time. Trigger is great, but stock is a little big for my hand . I should have got the thumb hole version. All in all a great target rifle

168 gr Sierra HPBT Match bullet with 42.8 gr of RL 15. Was an excellent choice for the money.

168 gr Sierra HPBT Match bullet with 42.8 gr of RL 15. Was able to hit 3 1/2" group with 40 rounds. One cleaning after 20 rounds. Recoil was mild and was able to hold cross hairs on target after each shot. I have fired over 1,000 rounds with the acu-trigger set at 1 1/2 lb. Equiped with 3X9 ballistic plex scope and standard bipod. Very good choice for the money.
