The revolver arrived at my Dealer quickly and per Bud's instructions I examined it closely. The S&W .500 I received is clearly brand new and representative of Smith & Wesson's high quality standards. All controls worked properly, no missing parts, nothing loose, and it call came in a nice S&W blue plastic case.
More specific to the revolver it is NOT as large as I expected - or maybe I simply didn't know what to expect! It also doesn't feel "heavy" in the hand, yet it does feel well-balanced...this WILL be a good, accurate shooting gun!
After I ordered the gun I started having second thoughts about buying such a beast, and choosing the 6.5" barrel....after seeing and handling it in person I am thrilled that I made the jump and bought this particular model. I highly advise others who even THINK they are interested in the S&W .500 magnum to go for it, and I further HIGHLY recommend they go through Bud's to make the purchase! I AM telling all my friends to go to Bud's! And a sincere thanks to Bud's for "being here" for us!
