I love Bud's and I love my Mini!!! Zero regrets. Bud's had this baby in my hands in about 4 days. They rock when it comes to stuff like that. Awesome price, too.

Only had it about a week & I've put 500+ rounds down range. It's absolutely a 5 star gun but it's not perfect... the first 30 rounds did NOT shoot like my last 30 rounds. Took about 50 down the hole to loosen the girl up. After that... dead accurate, gentle recoil, stays right on picture between shots and even with iron sites you can hit a quarter at 50 yards. Fast enough action to put $20-25/minute in ammo on the dot as well!

She's a bit nose heavy but some people like that. I think the tactical stock is what's the issue.

The stock looks cool but it's got a real wiggle where the stock slides out. You can see how the site line off the stock is almost a straight line with sites so with iron sites you gotta' just bury your face into the cheek guard to get a good site picture. A 4-25x40mm Leaper's scope took care of that issue, though. The included scope rings were perfect for mounting the scope. Nice rail placement and nice ring placement.

Had a bit of roughness on the seer and hammer parts that I polished down a bit. And it is NOT the quickest gun to break down. The trigger assembly on mine was (is) very tight to pull out and all the break down after that is like figuring some hellish magician's ring puzzle. You get it after a dozen tear downs but it ain't easy at first. The rail spring is a challenge to get back in as well.

Just by the design you can run a bore snake down it in a minute and call it good. Full tear down every 500+ rounds and you're probably OK if you shoot regularly. So not too bad on care and feeding.

DON'T BELIEVE WHAT YOU MAY HAVE HEARD ABOUT IT'S ACCURACY!!! This gun's been around for a long time. Ruger engineers had used the same tooling and dies for decades before they re-tooled their production equipment. You CAN shoot sub-MOA at 2, 3, 400 yards with the new Mini's, no problem. Check out "NutNFancy" on YouTube and see what he thinks of the Mini's accuracy.

AND... I got the flash suppressor even though it's not pictured. Nice!

So if it the end of the world and you have a zombie problem... the Mini 14 will soon become your best friend.
