Hi Point 10 + 1 Round 40S&W w/4 1/2" Barrel & Hard Case [34013]
$180.00

I bought this .40 Hi-Point not expecting great things, and to be honest it is obviously not the best gun ever. It is heavy, not the best looker, nor is it a gun that gets much respect from others (other than for its caliber). Heck, I split the cost of it with a friend just so we could try it out without being out any real $$$ if we didn't like it.
That being said, it is much better than we expected. On our first trip to the range with it, the clip would jam up on the first few rounds, but after a 2 minute call to Hi-Point, I bent the tabs out slightly on the magazine and have not had a jam in the 300 rounds that we put through it since. It shoots well, it's controllable for its caliber, and it feels very serious when you hold it (like it's all business).
Everyone that I have gone shooting with always wants to try it out and then they keep reloading and shooting because they can't believe how much fun it is! We had magazines loaded for my friend's XD and my Ruger SR9 in addition to a .357 revolver (shooting .38s...) and a couple of .22s ready to go, and we all keep rockin the Hi-Point until we ran out of .40 ammo.
Now, I wouldn't carry it on my person, but I have grown strangely attached to it and will probably order some more magazines for it and shoot it in some of the Speed on Steel competitions that our club offers (if for no other reason than to see the look on everyone elses faces). And it has sights that are easily adjustable for elevation and windage. Talk about BANG for your BUCK!
And for anyone who doesn't know yet, BUDS IS AWESOME!!! I will never order a gun from anywhere else now that I have dealt with Buds. Email updates and tracking number let you know exactly what is happening and I had my Hi-Point in 4 days from time of order (that includes transfer from FFL).
