I followed the advice of a you tube video entitled Hi Point Mods, and this gun has been to the range twice and performed flawlessly. I dealt with Hi Pointe's customer service because I lost a spring, they sent it out for free and I got it in 2 days. It's made in America, customer service is awesome, has a lifetime warranty, and you can't be the price. Just don't expect that you will be receiving a Glock or S&W, take the time to clean, polish, and lubricate before using and you have a really reliable gun. There is another you tube video on dealing with problem magazines, but i have four and all of them are fine; it's just some good background info and a really easy tweak. Am I satisfied? 100%. Once i get some other guns out of layaway, I play to buy Hi Pointe's 9mm compact from buds.
