Great gun. Was a hard one to find. A fantastic shooter. You just can't go wrong with a single-action Ruger. If you're looking for a simple reliable .45 Colt single-action revolver this is an excellent choice. You won't be disappointed.

The product was a bit disappointing. The gun arrived, and it was filthy. I don't blame Bud's Gun Shop, but I do blame Ruger. It was obvious the weapon had been fired, test fired, I presume, but the least Ruger, or whoever test fired it, should have done was clean it and remove the lead residue. The Extractor Rod assembly didn't work, as the rod kept getting stuck half way in the housing and I could not extract the spent cartridges. Finally, I dissembled the Extractor Rod Assembly and found the problem to be gook inside the housing that was blocking the rod. After a thorough cleaning I got the rod to work properly. Again, this is something that a firearm of this price range, and a Ruger to boot, should not have had these problems.

I picked up my Stainless Ruger .45 Colt Bisley Vaquero yesterday from my FFL, my first purchase from Bud’s — very happy with the service and shipping (within 7 days) as they advertised. I am however a bit disappointed with the gun they sent, new from Ruger. This revolver however has very noticeable cylinder ring wear out of the box (I realize this does absolutely no harm to the gun other than cosmetic) — and a discernible scratch at the end of the barrel, looks a bit like holster wear but worse, like someone dragged it across a table or took sandpaper to it. It almost looks like it was mishandled by a customer in a dealer shop and played with a bit. However I’ve purchased several Ruger firearms in the past and have been very satisfied with their quality, solid weapons. I’m anxious to get this beauty to the range and get some shooting time with it but it looks like it’s going to have to go back to Ruger. May not stop me from using Bud’s again, but I have to rate this experience with three stars for these reasons.

Really nice ,smooth ,one of my favorites

First, buds customer service and shipping is the greatest, I never will by a new gun on retail again, I go through Buds evey time. Now as for the product, after the fist shot of my NEW Ruger vaquero Bisley, the bade pin came forward and so I had to push it back in to cock the pistol, it did so after every round. The base pin lock was not protruding enough in the chanel to keep it locked in place. I sent the revolver back to Ruger. Now there turn around was only a week and a half which was good and they did fix the problem but when I got my pistol back, one of those cheesy white grips was chipped and the chip was not in the box so they shipped it back in that condition, I exspected more out of Ruger. Never had an issue with a Ruger product until now and I have purchased a lot of Rugers in my time. I am only giving three stars for that reason.

thank you Buds gun shop for working with customer buying guns that know how one should work. these people (buds gun shop) DO work with customer's hands down. my bisley colt 45 Is a sweet good looking gun and vary accurate and mechanically sound the way all rugers should be. this one is a keeper. super happy with this purchase and buds gun shop staying true to how they, DO what they say. and say what they DO, kind of shop.

I have to say as a new member to SASS this is one awesome gun! Slick trigger, good sights, and it hits where you aim it. Buy it to keep!

I love this Ruger. I really like the safety of the transfer bar. This gun shoots straight, at POA. Thinking about the .357 Bisley to match. Who doesn't love a good revolver?

This gun is a beauty to look at and own. But even more beautiful is the way it shoots very accurate I used 250grb ullets and tried a 230 gr all accurate. Don't know what else you could want beauty and functionality rolled into one.

"My 1st Vaquero....might as well make it a Bisley 45 Colt." Not my 1st Ruger though. From the FIRST "feel" out of the box at my FFLs, I must say I'm impressed! It felt like it was made for my hand. Took a bit to get used to the sights....not really that big a problem. Easy to hold...easy to shoot! I'll be ordering dies....I think I'll be wanting to shoot this REGULARLY! As usual, Bud's service was GREAT! Thanks. PS...I have this 'thing' for matching styles. I'll be ordering #5130(357) very soon.

Once again I am completely satisfied with a Ruger product. I own several handguns from Ruger this being only the second with fixed sights. I have been extremely impressed with Point of Impact vs. Point of Aim. This revolver shoots right where you aim which is always a concern with fixed sights. The fit and finish are excellent. I am very happy with this purchase and as usual Bud's has displayed unmatched customer service that keeps me coming back... thanks Bud's!!

Freaking awesome gun. Buds you're pretty damn good too.

It took me a few days to get used to the rough sights of this pistol. It's a solid weapon. Ruger makes solid six shooters, and it's hard to find a better value for the money.
