Sig Sauer P250 Compact .45 ACP CS Nitron Finish
[SIG 250C45B]
by WM H Date Added: Saturday 06 October, 2012
This is the worse overall, new gun purchase that I have ever made. With Buds the transaction was seamless , shipping was fast, and the email I sent them after receiving it with a problem was promptly answered. However, this is where the good leaves off and the bad begins. This Sig P250 Compact 45 ACP was received in a clear (unsealed) plastic bag and cardboard box, and the gun looked like a display item would - with 3 cosmetic dings/imperfection scratches in the finish. One is on the top left of slide where shell ejects, one on the right side at front of slide - both on nitron finish, and the other on the right rear side of grip. In saying this I do not feel nit-picky at all (as I stated to Buds in my email) - because when I buy as new, then I want new. Buds stated that they never break the seals, therefore implying that it had to be a problem with Sig, the delivery service, or the FFL dealer. In other words, the ball was mine to play, since it left the FFL dealer. I called Sig, explained the problem, and they quickly washed their hands of it - but at least did provide a suggestion of calling Brownell%uFFFD%uFFFDs to possibly get a touch-up pen to cover, or to use a black magic marker. As far as function /operation of gun the trigger pull is very smooth, it really shoots great, smooth functioning, and rounds goes down range very straight to the target. Only functional problem is that the magazine which came with the gun does not function correctly - in that the slide doesn%uFFFD%uFFFDt not lock open when the last round is ejected. I know it is with the magazine because I bought an extra (factory Sig) mag which performs just right and locks the slide open as it should. Guess I%uFFFD%uFFFDll try to call Sig back and see how they will handle this.
