I bought this gun after reading hundreds of reviews online, and just want to say I love this rifle. The youth version is good for smaller stature adults like me. Quality and workmanship are very high. Marlin got it right this time. The trigger is good and smooth.
My only complaint with the XS7 is that the stock feels kinda hollow and cheap. That being said, it handles very well for synthetic. I restocked mine with a Boyd's walnut classic stock and put a Burris Fullfield scope on it. Can you say accurate? It's a beauty now and in .243 should serve my purposes well, whether in the field or on the range. This replaced a Ruger M77 MKII 30.06 that had the old paddle style stock and was a veritable brute to shoot. I don't believe I downgraded in purchasing this "economy" rifle at all, and only a gun snob who never owned one would hesitate to embrace the X7 line.
Bang for the buck is incredible! You won't be disappointed in this rifle.
Thanks, Buds, for the great service and products!
