First, let me say how easy and pleasant it was dealing with Buds. For my first online pistol purchase, things went very well.
I placed my order, and had my pistol in hand 2 days later. These pistols seem to be a bit finicky about what ammo they like, and after a correspondance with FN, I was instructed to avoid HST rounds, and that they test with Remington and Federal Hydra-Shok - a round I will not carry. I headed to the range with 100 rounds of American Eagle 230gr ball, and the pistol functioned flawlessly. Very accurate too I might add, putting 10 shots within 2" at 7 yards. At a later date I tested out 185gr Speer Gold Dot, 185gr Rem. Golden Saber, and Fiocchi 230gr XTP.
The Speer and Remington all functioned fine, with the upper hand going to Speer due to better accuracy. The Fiocchi had one FTF during the last 20 or so rounds. Recoil was VERY managable, and my thin-framed girlfriend had no trouble firing the weapon - even though she preferred my 1911. ;)
All in all, a GREAT pistol that has become the nightstand gun with the gold dots. I love this pistol.
