My first firearm purchase ever was a H001 Henry 25 years ago and this .17 HRM is my latest purchase. There’s nothing flatter or faster other than a 22-250 that is hike in the woods friendly like this little lever action. The action is butter smooth and I can plink at metal at 100 yards with iron sights and my old eyes without a problem. This is the ideal varmint gun. Took this to the range so my daughter could shoot her Henry .17, and she is in love with her Henry she received for Christmas. She was surprised at how easy to shoo and operate. I have on as well, I will put a red dot on mine, ya know mature eyes, for me he buckhorn sites are blurry. It shot in a one inch group at 15 yards, so it shoots consistently. It is a pleasure to shoot all afternoon.

This is a great rifle and is a blast to shoot. I mounted a Nikon 3-9x40 scope on it and shot clays at 100 yards until the peices were too small to see in the scope. Mine is capable of Sub 1 MOA at 100 yards shooting from the bench. The build quality was excellent. Fit and finish very good. If you never tried a Henry let me tell you the action is amazingly smooth after you break it in and clean it once. Buttery smooth. There is something uniquely American about shooting a lever action rifle especially when you are scoring hits so regularly with .17 HMR rounds. It draws smiles from other folks at the range and they come away impressed after shooting it. I have this in .22LR as well but I prefer the .17HMR ballistics better. Fun rifle. If you are even just thinking about one I recommend you go ahead and pull the trigger. Great varmit rifle or plinker. Bud's delivered it the same week I ordered it. Good job Bud's!
