"And on the 8th day, Buds created shipping for my gun"
This gun is spectacular and exactly what I wanted. Flawless in every way, a true 5 star if ever there was one.
Now a word about Bud's.
I realize they are extremely busy this time of year, but they didn't ship the gun until the 8th day. That's business day, as in almost a full two weeks since I ordered and paid for the gun. Now maybe you would think that I'm being a bit uncharitable due to the busy environment that must certainly go along with having the best price out there for a gun. However, my complaint lies a bit in the discrepancy between what they said would happen and what actually did.
For starters, after "processing" my order, it was discovered that the gun would actually have to be "drop shipped" from the manufacturer. To me, this means they didn't have the gun in stock. Why say it's "In Stock" when it's clearly not and must be sent from the manufacturer to my FFL? Furthermore, when I called on the 7th day and said "Why hasn't my order shipped? You guaranteed 7 day shipping at the latest" the response was "Oh, here, I'll move it to Shipping". And so five minutes later I got an email confirming they had moved my gun from the "processing" stage to the "shipping" stage. But how in the world can they say they are shipping the gun when they don't even have the gun in stock and have no control over the manufacturer's shipping schedule? In short, their customer service was a farce, although most of the people I talked to were quite nice. Not all, but most.
To add to the grief, when I went to pick up the gun from the FFL, I found they had the same gun on sale for almost the exact price that I paid Bud's, but without the nearly three week total waiting period to actually go out and shoot it.
Bottom line: I've purchased three guns from Bud's so far and this will be my last.
