Its a magazine, it fed rounds into the rifle. I expected it to do just that.

My Mini-14 was the first gun I bought as an 18 year old. At the time the only thing available was Ruger 5 round mags and crappy after market 30 and 40 rounders. These are the cats mow. They feed every round and hold the bolt open on the last shot. The only problem is that I only ordered two.

Magazines worked perfect!

There are magazines put out by several companies for mini 14s but nothing is as reliable as the factory Ruger Mags! Buds as usual had them in stock and at a great price!

Ruger manufactured mags are the only brand I will use for my Mini 14. I have had to throw away other brands because they did not feed correctly. Yes, they are quite expensive, but they're worth it. You just can't trust any others—I won't name names.

I won't mention the 3rd-party magazine I tried first, but I was only able to make it work with some tinkering. It still isn't a very good fit. Fortunately, Bud's made it right, and I got the magazine made by Ruger. (Thank you, Bud's Gun Shop!!!) In my opinion, saving $15 dollars isn't worth it for something as critical as your magazine. This thing is so easy to load, and snaps into place like it was meant to be there. Go with the manufacturer's mags, if you know what's good for you.

Don't overfill. Designed for 30 but you can cram 31 in there. I bet thats bad for the spring. Another 5 star review for some awesome rifle mags!
