This rifle is awesome!! This is the highest quality rifle I own for sure. The controls are ambidextrous and very heavy duty. The fit and finish are impeccable. In the past, I have read many reviews that thought the butt stock was flimsy, or the button to collapse it should not be plastic. These reviews were often years old and don't hold true today. The butt stock is quite heavy duty, while remaining light weight, and has no 'wobble' at all. In addition, the button to fold the stock is metal, not plastic. When folded, the stock locks into place very nicely while still retaining easy access to all controls, or for firing in cramped quarters. I'm sure FN changed these compnents over the years in response to end-user feedback. The stock is also adjustable for length of pull, and has an adjustable comb for getting that cheek weld just right. The sights are great, and of course fully adjustable. It may come in a cardboard box, which is kinda lame for the price, but that does not take away from the high quality product it contains. It would be nice if they included a deluxe soft case with the SCAR, and/or a couple of extra magazines. This is a five star rifle that should last any user a lifetime and then some. Highly recommended!!! You never regret buying the best.

Good service from Buds. This is my fifth order with them since 2008. No complaints. After a good clean and lube, finally got the SCAR 16S to the range. 120 rounds down range with Swiss 80's surplus. No malfunctions. I believe a vertical fore grip is a necessary accessory, if only to keep your fingers away from the charging handle/bolt. Accuracy was very acceptable with 1 ' groups at 100 yds from sand bags (probably more accurate than this shooter). My only complaints: 1. The sling attachment points are aluminum. Slings with steel clips will take no time at all to eat through the aluminum!!! and 2. A cardboard box for a $2500 firearm? Even $700 AR's come with a hard case!

Alright this rifle is amazing! i DID NOT get the best price but i did get to pay 90 days same as cash to hold it. so thats the price you pay when you dont have $2500 laying around. i have 2 problems with the rifle. the front sight is impossible to flip up with out using a tool to pull it up. contacted FN they said it just need to be broken in. Second problem... why the hell is everything for this rifle expensive!!?? i need a new angled charging handle because the design sucks from the factory. they offer a nice one from Tangodown... $69 plus $12 shipping for a little piece of aluminum. ts crazy

Great rifle. Box was missing mag and owners manual. Eventually received replacements from FNH.

My 9th+ firearm purchased from Buds in the past 5 months or so. And as always very prompt and professional service from Buds. Anyway the gun comes in a plain cardboard box with one mag, manual and a lock. Geez FN don't be so cheap please join the rest of the industry and include a case. Other than a corner hole damage on the box probably due to the shipper. The rifle was is perfect condition. But like Ak's covered with a fair amount of cardboard dust. The SCAR needs no introduction, everything is ambidextrous except for the bolt release. The gas system is near exact as the one on their SAW minimi. The pistol grip is of the A2 type so Im switching my out with a Magpul grip. The butt stock button is plastic so that is being replaced as well with a 3rd party metal one. I'm also going to install a down wards canted charging handle to clear optics. The gun feels very much like you're standard M4 though much lighter and charging the gun is so smooth. Anyway a nice addition to my collection. Ive also purchased an ACR Enhanced and will do my own comparison. IMO as of this time the ACR feels more sturdy than the SCAR. The SCARS butt stock feels very flimsy. But other than that the SCAR shoots very well and has almost NO recoil. Very nice tactical weapon and would recommend this gun to anyone.
