What can I say but so far so great. First things first, I got the best price on the planet for these sights... and I know because I searched far and wide. Even other websites that had promotion codes available were not as cheap - some not by a long shot. And when you can make 5 offers on the Buds Make An Offer system, you know you're getting the best price. Now about the actual sights- I think they're PERFECT. Obviously I have put these on the Smith and Wesson M&P Shield (9mm) and I believe they're perfect for that gun - a primary, dedicated every-day-carry-gun. You will never know when you have to deploy your EDC in the defense... in the defense of your life or your property, in the defense of innocent bystanders lives , to protect your family in the home or out in the world, etc. Therefore, a sight system that is equally adept in both bright daylight and low-light/no-light situations makes, to me, the most sense! I have standard Trijicon Green/Yellow night sights on my "main gun" Glock 23 and I have the issued SIGLITE Night Sights (green/green) on my HD gun, Sig P226 MK25. Both are great products and have their pluses and minuses. In this case, I wanted to get back to my preferred Green front / Yellow rear combination. Now I love these sights but I will say, the literature and TruGlo's website mentions that "The Yellow tritium is meant to purposely glow less bright than green, to allow you to align the sights properly." Let me say, it is indeed significantly less bright. The GREEN TruGlo TFO is perhaps the brightest firearm sight on the market, it glows brilliantly day or night. The Yellow still gets the job done but is nowhere as good as the green, like they decided to use a lot less expensive tritium and pawn it off as a good thing. It still works, and for me, I PREFER this style because at night or day my brain can instantly align Yellow - Green - Yellow dots. .. but if you want maximum brightness, straight-up, you'd want the Green/Green. Anyway- Keep in mind M&P Shield sights are installed with a pneumatic press at the factory with some Loctite, so you will almost ASSUREDLY need gunsmith installation (cost me an additional $43 bucks.) And the sight rubs a bit on my new Galco King Tuk IWB hybrid holster, so I hope it wears itself a path soon and causes no more problems.... Anyway all in all I love it all as a package and believe this makes the Shield even MORE of the absolute best CCW firearm on the market.. I just want to give the good with the bad, in case someone is making a decision between products with their hard-earned money at stake.
