I purchased this gun because I had my 40 cal Glock for some time, and wanted to try something a little different. I took both the 40 cal Glock and my new M&P to the shooting range, and put a few hundred rounds through both of them. Although it's much harder to field strip the M&P, I am a WAY better shot with the M&P than I am my own Glock, , which I had put thousands of rounds through. My Glock was also prone to duds, which hasn't been a problem with the M&P.
In short, other than a couple minor issues, such as the difficulty stripping, and tool in the grip that doesn't want come out, and it's ugly looks, the M&P shoots FANTASTICALLY!
