This was my first online purchase for a handgun. Like a few other reviewers - was nervous the first few days, but honestly, if anyone thinks they keep inventory on hand and ship stuff out the same day (read the statements - they don't), it would be Buds Gun City! After the 3rd day, the emails started flying, my account was updated; and soon my new purchase was out the door and arrieved at my FFL dealer. Smooth as silk, guess just have a little patience, but most are use to instant gratification.
As for the gun - "IT" fires great (me not so well). The frame tool was impossible to remove (I changed out the backstrap). I had to use vice grips to pull it out (you have to turn it just so...as there is a niple that lines up in a channel in the grip). If you have to do what I did, use some heavy cloth to grab it or electrical tape, as not to damage the bottom of the tool that is exposed.
Lastly, this is an M&P, that does not stand for Civilian. So, for any new M&P owners out there like myself - when you go to drive a new magazine home with a good slap - it's a "feature" - that will allow the slide to engage and chamber a round. Read the manual - and do your research - it's not a faulty weapon. Otherwise, I've been loading the 15 round magazines to 14 as when this does happen, chances are better of grabbing a round it seems if the mag is not fully loaded. Great gun so far, put about 80 rounds through it before the range masters and I "thought" we had a malfunction. (says it in the manual too - in big red letters - kudos to S&W customer support).
Thanks to Buds for making this a great first time experience - hope to see it's little brother join the family as I will be purchasing from Buds again!
