Ordered gun on Jan 3rd 2013. It took three weeks to arrive. I did not mind the wait just the lack of information during the three weeks. Very satisfied with the price and availability of the firearm through buds online store. I have fired 1 box through the gun today, very nice firearm. I have always been a fan of the 1911, and I think the 96A1 is a tie or moved into the top spot. Being a 1911 guy, the double action first round will take some getting used to, that is my inexperience though not any fault of the gun. Weight , the feel, and overall size of the firearm is very similar to a 1911. The 40 S&W round has good ballistics and stopping power. I wanted this gun in my arsenal because of the 12 + 1 capacity. I feel only giving up a little on 45 ACP ballistics for an extra 5 rounds. The only complaint is the only place to find a holster for the A1 version is at beretta. Unless you really want a flashlight on the piccatany rail, stick with the 96FS and get the grip laser or guide rod laser. By doing this, you can have a laser and the holster of your choice. I wouldn't mind ordering from buds gunship again, just be patient, they are slow on providing information. But I understand busy high volume sales is we're the savings come from.
