Purchased this from Buds around May. Once Bud's got their payment, it only took a day, with updates on the progress and a helpful staff informing me on the details. Then they were updating the online site every step of the way on the process. Not much longer and it was at my local gun dealer. Came a little dirty inside the gun with a lot of grease (assumed the grease was normal, not so much with the look of use). Overall though outside looked great and quality of service was great. Good job Bud's. Have bought again because of quality.
Since then I have shot around 300 rounds through it and am happy. Tried 2 different types of ammunition only at the moment (I buy cheap for target practice). However, I have a few complaints I'll address later. Please keep in mind I'm a huge critic of everything so note this before taking only my point of view before your important purchase.
Pro's: Aiming with the gun is awesome, right out of the box it was dead on with the sights. Accuracy is also great and I was hitting fairly accurately without being very experienced in pistol use. Trigger pull is light too which helps me. Recoil is awesome, love the double spring system. Magazine release and safety is on both sides, awesome for lefty's like me. Cleaning was not much of a hassle. This is a sturdy build, barrel material is great (manual says it takes high velocity rounds). Feels amazing in my hand. Shoots the cheapest ammo I get around here locally perfect (Winchester however was a nightmare for me). Gun is just the right size and does not seem to hinder its accuracy. Action might feel a bit off racking it but cycles smoothly and I love it. Love the safety features and am amazed at what you get out of this gun with only spending around 400 bucks. Black finish is great, does not scratch easy at all. Weight is just right for me.
Con's: Take down is not as simple as other pistols I have used. Complete take-down is a bit more rough, making taking out the striking pin not a fun task (though I took it out right, the plastic portion in the back (that has the striker fire center showing) seemed to get damaged). The "slide lock" is confusing since it is different than other pistols which have "slide release" (throws you off and stopped me from purchasing the gun first time seeing it).
Though I have read people's info that state this gun can feed Winchester White Box (WWB) without failing to fire(FTF) but I've had 5 out of 200 rounds where all but one were lightly hitting the primer (4 of them being one firing session I used WWB out of the same box). Please note experienced users, I cleaned out the grease out from the firing pin, so that was not the problem (maybe I over cleaned it but is odd how most of them were from the same batch). This one was made in one of two factories the gun is made, Prescott Arizona where I have heard lemon stories on boards (don't know if that is all Bud gets). However when I switched to Federal 124 gram, FMJ for target practice (and it's cheaper than WWB), I have not had any failures and love it for practice.
Overall though it has it's flaws, the pro's are far better. I am trusting this gun for my conceal and recommend it to someone who wants a comfortable, easy operation, left hand friendly, quick to target, stays on target and feels right gun.
