Ruger SR9c 9mm Compact Black
[3314]
$407.00
by Rob W Date Added: Sunday 10 October, 2010
I bought this black SR9-c from Buds about two weeks ago by check for the 3% discount. Everything went smoothly, just like they said it would. For $405.00 shipped, you aren't going to get this deal anywhere else, period. I took it out today for the first time. A lot of people on You Tube had been saying that this gun malfs on WWB 115gr. FMJ but that wasn't my experience at all. I had one malf in 100 rounds of break in and that was on #20. Break in is break in and there's no way around that if it's not a Glock and most folks know that already. I doubt seriously I'll be seeing any other malfs in this little guy. Very accurate, light, light trigger, easy take down like you've come to expect from all Ruger semi auto pistols, excellent sights and an overall good feeling handle to wrap your hand around and a nice, positive "snap" when you engage the slide safety. It's not vague at all and I appreciate that in a stricker fired gun.
This pistol was absolutely filthy inside when I opened it up. That's no reflection on Buds of course, that's the way it came from Ruger. That I thought was mighty unusual because that's the first time I've ever encountered that in a new Ruger semi, and I've bought a lot of them over the years. No harm, I just cleaned it up and that was that.
If you want something kinda'-sorta' like a G-26 but you're not inclined to carry a striker fired pistol loaded without a slide safety, this pistol is probably what you're looking for and you've come to the right place; Buds.
