At first glance, looks to be a well put together gun. Slide to frame fit is indeed tight. I liked the bead blasted matte finish. However, I am finding that this gun is not "drop in" part friendly for up-grading. I was disappointed at it having a plastic mainspring housing so I had to pay a gunsmith to fit an aluminum one. Also, it has a crunchy trigger press. The finish is not very resilient and makes rub marks and light scratching very apparent which is disappointing when the gun is handled so lightly. Also, make sure you are comfortable with a G.I. style grip safety, otherwise your aftermarket options are either custom beavertail by gunsmith, or a drop in part that looks ridiculous. Performance wise I have little to complain about as the gun feeds reliably and is as accurate as its' shooter. Sights are clean, but the grips have to go as there is little to no traction for this gun when shooting. I believe that this is a good gun to build on, but one might be better off spending a bit more and getting a Taurus 1911, as I have had two in the past, which have more features and a similar warrantee. Thank you.
