Taurus 513 Raging Judge 3" SS 454 Casull/45LC/.410 [2513039]

This is a great gun. I've put a few hundred rounds through it and can tell you that it shoots 2" groups at 20 yards, which is good since the sights are not adjustable. It certainly weighs a lot - that can make it difficult to aim, but it definitely helps with recoil, and my girlfriend (all 120 lbs) hit the 10 ring several times averaging 7s. With an alternating load of 45 and 410 PDX1, that should do the job. Now the main reason I purchased this particular model was the ability to shoot the 454 Casull, which should be a good defense for hogs come hunting season. I fired some Magtech 260 gr rounds. Lemme tell you this round is powerful. You can feel a pressure wave coming off the muzzle. That said, I didn't find the recoil that bad. Seems lots of folks online talk about their wrist hurting or getting blown backward, I didn't find that at all. It hardly kicks on the 45 and 410, and the 454 though stout, is manageable. If you want a gun that does have the energy to deter hogs/bears, and you don't want to carry S&W 50 or some other Dirty Harry sized hand cannon, this is a solid alternative.
