Excellent value. Not certain about the 1000 yards, but it'll light up anything within my rifle's normal range. Bright/adjustable green dot works great in low light conditions and about 75 yards a a mostly sunny day, depending on target. Well made, extra long, and thicker, remote cord included. Looks like very high quality when mounted. VERY secure fit on a standard picatinny rail. Easy to zero / adjust for windage & elevation. Super value for the price. Bud's service was A+, even during the post Christmas frenzy, but I have dealt with Bud's for years and used to their good service.
