Having been wanting the XDM 45, I finally bit the bullet and ordered one from Buds. My FFL dealer actually received the weapon before Buds sent the shipping email; that's something for Buds to work out. When I arrived to pick up the weapon, I realized they weren't lying about the case. It's a huge. When I open the case and first saw the XDM, I must say I was a little surprised by it's physical size. The only .45 I have ever owned is the SA Champ 4" and compared to it, the XDM is a handful when it comes to size. Once I filled a 13-round magazine to capacity and put it in the weapon, I realized the weight and balance of the weapon is really not bad at all. The next day I took it to the range with a hundred rounds of Remington UMC 230 Gr. ammo. Let me just say the weapon was awesome to shoot. Every round fed and fired flawlessly, not that I expected anything less, and the accuracy of the weapon was outstanding. I am extremely happy with the looks, feel, balance and performance of the XDM 45, and I am no less happy with Buds Gun Shop for their extremely fast service and shipping.
