I was happy with the purchase and the delivery from Buds. I have ordered several other guns since then from Buds as well. I also appreciate their email notice system when a product is out of stock....I have now ordered 2 different pistols when I was notified they were back in stock. Buds does a great job keep you informed on where your order is and when it should be at your FFL. Will definitely re-order from them in the future. The Ruger LCR 357 is one of 6 calibers that Ruger has currently in the LCR configuration and I have ordered 4 of them thru Buds.

Excellent little gun. Great firepower with 357 and inexpensive ammo with 38.

Very nice gun. Nice feel, smooth to carry and conceal and very easy to handle. Would highly recommend this handgun if you're looking for something that packs a punch in a small package. And I certainly recommend Bud's for the purchase. Good pricing and very smooth transaction.

The only problem I found with this revolver is that the crane latch thumb button is very hard to press. I found out through ruger forums that this is a common problem with some of the LCR models. Without ever firing a round ,I sent it to Ruger to have the problem fixed. This model Ruger was hard to find, Bud's was one of the few Gun Shops to have it in stock. I am presently awaiting the return of my revolver.

I really like these little Ruger J-frames. I chose the .357 mag because it also shoots the .38 specials for which there is less felt recoil than with the .38 spicial model due to the heavier steel in the .357 I also bought this same gun in the .9mm version with some moon clips for essy loading & unloading.

The Ruger LCR is exactly what I have been searching for in a concealed carry. It operates smoothly and ejection of spent casings is easy. It also is easy to load each bullet separately, but I like using the speed loader. It is easy to conceal, but the grip is good even for large hands. Recoil is reasonable which is important for my arthritic hands. With no external hammer, it is a simple draw and shoot. My Male friend with large hands also likes MY Ruger LCR.

I received my Ruger LCR in factory fresh pristine condition. As always, Buds ongoing communication as to the status of the shipment was great. I am a customer of Bud's for several years, having purchased three firearms from them. I am totally satisfied, and will be a customer of Bud's in the future.

It's a Ruger. Enough said.

Great compact revolver. For the range and outdoors, I have larger and heavier weapons with more options. But I bought this gun for carry, and for that purpose I think it's just about perfect.
Pros:
- The trigger is really good for a DAO, smooth and breaks crisply.
- No controls except the trigger and cylnder latch, very simple.
- No exposed hammer to snag.
- Fit and finish are attractive.
- So far, 100% reliable.
- Soft shooting with .38.
Cons:
- Two finger grip, but that is a trade-off of being compact.
- Stock grip is somewhat clingy and protrosive for certain carry options.
- Front sight is just ok and benefits from an aftermarket swap.
- Black finish is good for low profile but does attract some marks and nicks, starting at the cylinder.
- Very tight cylinder latch required some break-in and adjusting an adjacent screw.
I've replaced the front sight on every Ruger revolver that I own, and this is no exception. It's a trivial DIY task to swap it out for a better fiber optic or tritium one. I also opted to swap in a bantam boot grip to further promote concealability. I don't want a ton of customization on a ccw. I'm comfortable with polish and shim work in revolvers, but I haven't felt a need for that on this weapon. I'll stop to add that the DA pull on the LCRx is very different: the LCR is much cleaner.
The shooting is quite accurate at a short distance, owing a lot to the trigger. It's very pleasant to shoot on the lighter end of the spectrum or .38, but still bearable in moderation for hotter loadings. As with my SP-101, extended .357 sessions can sometimes result in torn webbing on your hand (even with gloves). I had tendon surgery on my right hand a couple years ago, which reduced my overall grip strength, but I can still easily manage this LCR. It's not the same pleasure as shooting my GP100 by any stretch, but to be fair that's also a significantly heavier, bulkier, and customized experience.
Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase and with Bud's in every aspect of the sale and shipping.

I bought this to be my CC gun. My experience shooting this using .38 wasn't bad at all it was easy to hit center mass within the range of 4 - 10 yards. When using .357 rounds I had to stop to give my hand a break before continuing with another round of five shots. It's good to have options to choose which caliber I can shoot with this gun this is why I went with this Ruger version but I will only use .38 or .38+P rounds when I carry this gun with me. This was my second purchase with Buds Guns again my overall experience was positive.

Lightest snubbie around with the smoothest trigger out of the box.

I am quite happy with this Ruger LCR in 38/357 mag. It is my back up carry gun, though I do occasionally carry it as my main carry gun if I cannot carry my larger 1911 45 or my H&K 45 as my main carry gun for some reason (lighter clothing, or whatever). I am quite confident that this Ruger LCR loaded with good 357 ammo will be more than adequate for personal defense purposes. My wife also carries the Ruger LCR, however in 9mm, and she loves it as well. We do recommend this awesome firearm and would definitely buy them again.

Do not recommend this gun in 357 magnum .It is too light for magnum rounds and will cause bullet to pertrude out of its case due to recoil in the adjacent cylinders to the one in the barrel.too much recoil buy a smaller caliber or get the ruger sp101 you will have no problems with it.

Excellent carry revolver. Recoils is manageable. Same ruger quality I expect from my other revolvers.

Delivery, communication and weapon condition all terrific - my first transaction with Bud’s and my first wheel gun. I’ve been out in one range session and went through 300 rounds with 250 .38 target loads and 50 .357 defense loads. I was shocked at how manageable the .357 rounds were in such a small gun. I had intended to use this with .38s but wanted a gun with a bit more mass than the .38 model (4 more ounces). I’m rethinking using .357s for CC in this given I was able to get good accurate follow up shots at the range. For sure there is a kick to .357s but reading the articles on this you’d think folks suffered sprained wrists - not at all the case. The gun has serious quality and innovation both functionally and cosmetically. My goal was serious power in a very small footprint and that’s what I got.

I'm really digging this gun! Let's get the one little negative out of the way, though. When using standard pressure, defensive .357mag loads, this baby is HARSH! Granted I am 5' 7", and only weigh about 130lbs, so it will be easier for people of a larger stature. I can handle magnums through my comparably sized (but much heavier) Ruger SP101 2.25" just fine, if that offers anymore insight. When using .38+p though, this baby is a PLEASURE to shoot! The trigger pull is just fantastic, and accuracy (even when shooting one-handed), is just fantastic! This gun has definitely earned a spot in my carry rotation. Bud's service was great as always.

Great trigger. Absolutely painful to shoot with defensive .357. Another great product from ruger and super great customer service from buds!

I have had the Ruger LCR in 9MM and liked it so I figured the next step was an LCR in .357 Mag?? I ordered one from Bud's and it was delivered on time to my FFL dealer.....anxious to shoot it I loaded it with 38 Specials and went to my "Private Range" on the River.....Not Bad......accurate with a SMOOOOOTH trigger and nice recoil!! Next were some HOT .357 Magnums.......HARSH recoil but still not ridiculous and very accurate before flinching set in.........10 rounds and I was done with .357 Magnums for "plinking" but that's what I'd carry in it!! So far I am very pleased and surprised with the feel and accuracy of this "light weight"........I'd recommend it to anyone who has been a shooter of larger calibers!! Thanks Bud!!

Bought this firearm with a trade with Buds. Buds offer for my old gun was very fair, and the entire transaction worked smoothly, and quickly. Buds is great to deal with. The Ruger LCR is a great little gun, but the recoil needs some practice to get used to. Very satisfied with both the gun and Buds.
