This is my second LCR purchase. I purchased on myself locally 2 weeks ago. I and my wife were so impressed with it, we bought her one from Bud's (for much less cost, I might add). It seems as light as her previous carry gun, a Taurus 85, 38 special, flush hammer. We have not had a chance to shoot them yet, but those reviews are on the net. I did put in some snap caps and we practiced firing. We will need to practice this double action trigger pull a lot on this snub to have accuracy in shots, but it is a DAO, so it is not going to have a hair trigger like a gun which a hammer can be cocked. However, you don't want that in a SD weapon without a safety anyway IMHO. I think practice will help us on this. I read a good review about Hornady Critical defense 125 gr for this 357 mag that said it really had a released recoil. My wife is tiny, so I hope she can take the 357, if not, we'll give her 38 special loads.
Although I can't yet comment on shooting, I like just about everything on this gun. The main problem is us, and I'm sure we will improve on practice with the snap caps. There isn't much to take apart on this gun to clean in, just the norm for where you can reach and oiling the hammer every 1000 by partially punching out a pin and dripping in some oil and resetting the pin. No further disassembly is needed. If you are looking for a lightway, but very potent revolver for CCW, I highly recommend this gun.
If I can post followup reviews to this later, I will report back after shooting some 357 mag and 38 special loads.
