Bought this for a SHTF kit as 9mm is plentiful and zips right along with the 16” barrel. I gave it a thorough cleaning and lubed it and the magazines up with a 50/50 mixture of Mobil 1 and Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer. After the oil I wipe the exterior down well, then apply Frog Lube. Started using the concoction when I was stationed in Kodiak Alaska for 8 years. The weather there is wet 70% of the time and the salt water on the coast can do a number on any metal, including stainless steel. Loaded each mag up with 28 rounds of WWB. Went with 28 rounds as the mags are hard to load, especially with every round towards the max of 32. Got the sights lined up at 15 rounds then went back to the 25 yard line. Standing it was giving me 3”, 5 round groups. Before going to the range I checked the trigger pull and it was breaking at 8.2 pounds with a fairly long pull. That weight didn’t do anything for accuracy, especially with me standing. I then put down some sand bags to see how it would do rested up. BIG improvement! Even with the trigger I was shooting 1 1/4” groups at 25 yards, opening up to 2” groups at 50 yards. I did have some FTF’s with one of the mags that I bought at a gun show. The other mag worked like a champ. It’s not a full auto but one can get some serious lead down range quickly and fairly accurately. I was some rounds at a full sized targets at 100 yards. I’m 64 and don’t have the eyes I used to have, but was able to keep most of the rounds on 12” groups. If the trigger broke at 4 rounds I’m sure the accuracy would improve dramatically. It’s easy to stow, and also looks pretty cool. I’ve since bought another mag for it and it’s a reliable weapon and one my wife can shoot without flinching. For the money thought it was a very good deal. This is my 7th transaction I’ve had with Buds. Everything went extremely smooth and I would recommend they check out Buds before every purchase!!!!

Tldr version: jam-o-matic. Long version: could not get through a mag without at least one jam, usually around 5. Sent it back to century and waited. Got it back, same thing. Problem wasnt fixed. Sent it back again, still wouldnt get through a mag without jamming. Piece of junk. How can century take a gun known for its reliablity and make it so terrible? I really liked the feel and look. Uzi is a cool gun but the amount of jams is unacceptable. Pass on this

Let’s be honest, every guy who grew up in the 80’s and 90’s with action movies knows and loves the Uzi. I had been looking for one for awhile, after missing out on these years past. Somehow I noticed buds had one in stock and boom! Now I own the iconic carbine. Buds transaction was 10/10 as always. As for the rifle. I was a little worried as these tend to have mixed reviews, but when I picked it up found it to be in pretty good looking shape, and it took snap caps without issue. I finally got it to the range and ran about 200 rounds of various brands and styles through it. Both ball ammo worked great, including wolf, and brown bear as well as normal brass cases stuff. I then put some hollow points through it and found it to be a little more finicky on the first round, but it went smooth after that. I did find one quirk with it, where if the selector gets pushed to far forward it will not fire, so be careful of that. But all in all I’m happy with this purchase. It will soon be a great little SBR.

I had an issue with the UC9, the barrel is to tight for a 9mm. I thought it was a squibb load but, after some test. it was the barrel issue. the guy who bought it and explain that , how he fixed with emery cloth and that what I did and i fixed the problem. Sharing helps and it really count. Thank you

This thing is built like a tank! And probably as heavy as one too. Do not be fooled it is 9 lbs no kidding. As the song goes "My Uzi weighs a ton" this literally does lol. Every time I take it to the range everyone wants to hold and shoot it. This gun has super star fame status and is a legend. Most people have never seen one before except in movies, and are drawn to it. Including the range staff. And yes almost everyone who holds it breaks in to their best Arnold Schwarzenegger impression, telling me "Uzi 9mm" My wife loves, to shoot it claiming there is almost no recoil. Due to its solid 9lb weight. I love this carbine because of its history and looks and besides, it's just plain fun to shoot. The gun came good looking in a large padded cardboard box with one 32rnd and one 25rnd magazine no manual but one can be downloaded from century arms. There was not a scratch on the weapon. Very happy if you are on the fence about getting this gun go ahead you will be glad u did!!!!!!!

Built like a rock, and it could be it is 9 pounds. Well it is made of pure steel, and its balanced that if you hold it with one hand you could be fired one handed. It is solid I believe it is put together as good as IMI put them together themselves.getting the ATF form 1 together so I can replace the barrel wth a 10.25 threaded barrel. Buy one and be a kid again. Just know you you have to pay for ammo not caps

After planning to purchase this Uzi for over a year, and numerous times coming upon the dreaded "out of stock" notification whenever I was ready to buy it, I can finally say now that the wait was worth it. I placed my order for in store pickup at a Bud's on a Monday, and it was ready to be picked up Friday morning. The gun arrived in excellent condition both inside and out, the parts looked extremely new and in good shape; the springs and accessories were all new and showed little wear. Field stripping the Uzi is VERY easy, and there are only a few moving parts so diagnosing a problem when they occur is usually simple. After cleaning all contact and moving parts with some Remington oil it was off to the gun range. Now, I intend to test a variety of ammo out including 115gr and hollow points but after doing a lot of research most Uzi shooters do prefer 124gr rounds. I went with Winchester 124gr NATO (these are loaded to slightly higher pressures than standard 124gr rounds)- the logic being that you need a slightly heavier bullet with more pop to reliably cycle the very heavy bolt of the Uzi. I fired 200 of the Winchester rounds without a single malfunction and I was delighted to find out that the sights on mine were dead on accurate- I was hitting bowling pins hanging out at 65 yards with no problem. Mine came with a 25 round magazine and a 32 round mag- I tested both and they worked perfectly. The UZI feels like a really heavy duty, indestructible piece of hardware and even though it weighs as much as an AK, the compact size of it makes it easy to wield and hold on target. The only thing that I would be wary of on these is the top cover- because Century builds these out of new and old surplus parts, some are being manufactured with full auto top covers. The full autos were designed to be fired from an open bolt and the top covers on these have ratcheted teeth that hold the bolt open. The bolt on a semi auto Uzi has a shorter throw and the bolt can become stuck and very hard to release. Mine came with a full auto top cover and after a while the bolt became stuck in the rear position and was very hard to release. This can be fixed by removing the 3 components within the top cover that allow the ratchets to attach onto the slide. All you need is a screwdriver to unscrew the charging handle and if you remove those parts the slide will come back as far as you can pull it without catching on the ratchets- you do NOT need to spend money on ordering another top cover. This takes 5 minutes to do. Overall I really love this Uzi. Century has gotten a bad rap in the past but I think they are really stepping up their game in terms of quality. My Uzi looks, feels, and shoots great, so I can't ask for more than that. Bud's also had excellent and friendly customer service, at least at the in store location I went to. Thanks Buds!

Nice looking gun, sturdy, all metal construction. Smooth and flawless operation! Fun to shoot and pretty accurate (open sights only). Only problem is weight, thick pistol grip, and getting used to squeezing lever on grip to fire. would be better with shorter barrel or suppressor but then it would be too short for rifle qualification. Worth the money, high quality!

WELL REALLY COOL FIREARM WENT TO RANGE AND AFTER ABOUT 10 RDS IT QUIT WORKING BROUGHT IT HOME AND FIELD STRIPPED AND THE TRIGGER SEAR WASNT LETTING THE FIRING PIN COME ALL THE WAY FORWARD WHEN YOU PULLED THE TRIGGER BUT THE PART OF THE BOLT THAT SLIDES OVER THE SEAR WHEN YOU PULL THE TRIGGER WAS A LIITTLE ROUGH CUT NOT ALLOWING TO LET THE FIRING PIN TO COME FORWARD WHEN THE TRIGGER WAS PRESSED A COUPLE OF HITS WITH A SMALL FILE MADE IT SMOOTH AS SILK,WORKS FINE NOW PARTS ARE KIND OF ROUGH CUT BUT EASY TO POLISH AND MAKE IT WORK WELL.I LIKE IT ,NO RECOIL AT ALL VERY SIMPLE OPERATION PARTS COULD BE FINISHED A LITTLE BETTER BUT HEY IT WORKS.

Ok as always Buds shipped gun very quickly and am extremely happy with there service. Now for the gun I am not very impressed with CIA! First round and started having problems with jams, got spare mag and quess what jam,jam jam and more jams! several times had to remove barrel and take a long rod and knock out bullets that were being pulled from casing. Had to clean and get all powder that emptied out of casing from gun. Had to take a drill and some emory cloth and polish inside of barrel where bullet seats at because it was so tight that when bullet would chamber it got stuck so tight that trying to eject manually it would literally yank bullet out of casing and empty powder in receiver. after a lot of the polishing it would finally work properly. I work on guns in my spare time so no problem for me but your average joe would have spent his hard earned money on something that didn't work.

Just received my UC-9; was very surprised. I ordered on a Saturday, and got a call from my FFL this morning(Wednesday) that the rifle was at their store. It's frigid temps with snow so I can't go to range to try out the UC-9. As weather improves, I'll modify this post with update on the gun.

Starting with the good. There is plenty of that, because my carbine is a keeper. Matter of fact, because of the quick take down barrel and folding stock I'm making mine a trunk gun with a modified foam padded carry case. It is very reliable indeed. I have ran well over 500 rounds by now without one flaw. Shooting P HP and even sub sonic. Very accurate too, shredding a nice 2 inch hole at 50 yards with the iron sights. It came with 2 mags, 1 25 rounder and a 32. Both work great. I would recommend this firearm indeed. Fit a finish were excellent with a nice clean shiny bore. Now for the bad. This list is short and not a deal breaker for me, but more of an annoyance. There are 2 models of UZI, Model A and B. There are semi and full auto parts available on the market as well. Sourcing these parts are not difficult and reasonably priced too. Thats the set up, here's the pitch. My gun came with mismatched parts in 2 ways. The first are the sights. I have a model A front sight with model B Rear sight. The front sight will be swapped out soon for a model B, because in my mind it's superior. With that I'm sure I can get that ragged hole a little smaller. Now for the most annoying part. The top cover on mine is manufactured for a full auto UZI. How bad can this be? Well it's a ratcheting cover with a longer charging slot. So if you go to chamber a round, you can get the bolt stuck in the rear position quite easily. This requires you to pop off the top cover while the charging handle is to the rear. This in turn slams the bolt forward. Making you start over again. The semi auto version has no ratchet teeth and a shorter slot. This was a cheap fix replacing the top cover for $17 shipped. Over all Very happy with this firearm and Buds Service. I did get caught up in a shipping delay but hey, it was a week before Christmas and I'm sure Buds was swamped. They still got it to me 2 days before Christmas day! Great service!

I love the UC9!! I'm a 70's child so I grew up with snake eyes on GI Joe who had one. A pleasure to shoot. Awesome looks and quality is good. My 12 year old shoots it like a 22. Great conversation piece. Like a newborn baby, everyone wants to hold it! Buds was fantastic as usual. Even during weather and holiday weekend.

I purchased this Uzi clone from Bud's back in July of 2014. Since then I've put over a thousand rounds of both good and cheap quality 9mm through it without a single malfunction. The firearm itself runs flawlessly. The only real negative, as previously mentioned by another reviewer, for the UC-9 is that the front sight is basically garbage and unless you just want a fun range toy to play with (and there's nothing wrong with that!) then you'll want to replace it. Super fun gun!

Received in good shape; most components appear to be new. It was very tight and dry. After disassembly and lubrication I fired about 150 rds with a couple of failures probably due to the stiffness of the action and lightweight (115 grn) ammo. 124 grn ammo is recommended by most Uzi shooters. I'm very happy with this and I'm sure after break-in it will be very reliable. It is very heavy (9 lbs) and has minimal recoil, very pleasurable to shoot. Smooth transaction from Bud's as usual.

4 or 5th purchase from buds. Shipping has always been good, but this time it was GREAT ordered on 08/18/2015 and was at my FFl on 08/20/2015! My UC9 came with two mags, a 25rd and 32rd. The finish and fit of the rifle was beyond my expectations. Took it to the range today, and was also surprised by the function and accuracy. I was told to run the gun " wet" so I cleaned and well lubed it before the trip. It ran 100% reliable with cheap 115gr ammo ( wolf and tula). It is heavy, but for me that is kinda half the appeal ( its a vintage design and I was not looking for polymer)its not a turn off for me. Recoil is hardly felt due to the caliber and even more offset by the weight of the gun. I really have no complaints about the gun at this point. Would highly recommend.

After owning it for nearly a year now, and firing over a thousand flawless rounds through it, I wanted to take a minute to write an honest and fair review of it. The gun itself is good. Actually better than the vector brands of recent and these receivers are made by Global Machine and Tool LLC, located in Texas. I have only had 2 real issues with the gun itself as follows. 1. The firing pin strikes are not perfectly centered/offset on the primers. I have had no problems with misfires or pierced primers because of this and to the contrary, it has been 100% reliable, though the issue is present and well documented all over the web. The gun has no problem firing U.S. or imported steel case ammo and hard primers. 2. The other small issue I had was with the front sight post. It would not thread all the way to the bottom which restricted elevation adjustment. I finally ordered an aftermarket front sight post and grinded off the bottom threads so I could get the front sight post lower to the receiver and enough to zero the weapon. Prior to replacing the front sight post, the gun was shooting about 4 to 6 inches low on target, but now is shooting point of aim.

Great 9mm carbine. It's heavy but shooting the 9mm cartridge is a blast. Very accurate and runs perfect! I did buy a Maglula Uzi mag loader which makes loading the 32rd mags a breeze. And in my opinion this thing looks awesome. I personally could care less where the roll marks are as long as it shoots like it does. If you keep watching the price Bud's will drop it a lot every so often. I picked this one up for $567!!

Just picked up from my FFL dealer. Fast shipping but this UZI is a piece of crap! Almost refused it. Top cover is bent on rear edges which makes it very hard to get off, barrel is extremely tight in trunion and can hardly remove it or install it, lower trigger group is again extremely hard to remove pin or reinstall lower on receiver. They stamped large letters on the left side of the receiver from front to back with the "Century Arms Centurion UC9 Georgia, VT. GMT and serial number". All the way along the left receiver side instead of on the left rear receiver on the flat smooth part as it should have been! Looks like crap! I fixed the top cover to work right and will have to work on the lower and the barrel and trunion. I had one of these from a gun show 2 years ago and it was great! This one I just got was made in 2013 and is a piece of junk from what I see with this one. Hopefully, it will shoot good. I'll try it out this weekend.

As always Buds had it out the door super fast, and at the best price. Upon arrival did a quick breakdown and clean put a light coating of Mobil 1 on all the friction points. Went to the range and ran 500 rounds using standard UZI 25 round magazines. One note the magazines will take 26 don't load that last round it will FTF almost every time. No FTF's excellent accuracy with all rounds light/junk/premium all mixed together.
