Finally bought the Ruger mini 30 and took it out and ran around a 100 rounds thru it , functioned perfectly,no hiccups.I was surprised how accurate it is out the box. Love the gun especially copying the look of the M1 Garand. Use factory Ruger magazines and good brass, cased ammo and you will be very happy. Love this gun five stars.

Very nice firearm. Shoots as good and as accurate as my mini 14 in .556 and my mini 14 in 300 Blk. Basically the same gun. Workmanship is fine and is comfortable to hold and shoot. Really like the tactical features with the low key look. Did 40 rounds of Brass and 20 rounds of Red Army Standard Steel case with one FTF with the steel. Fired on the second time through. About what I expected. Overall very pleased with it.

Have several mini 14’s great rifle but kicks like mule in 7.62 love my 223’s when it comes to these I recommend 223.

I have been waiting patiently for a blued minute 30 and when this one popped up I knew I had to have it.

I bought this and it eats TULA 154Gr. ammo with no problems . I basically got it for a SHTF situation but I am certain that it could harvest deer with no issues. In all honesty , I have enough Ruger deer rifles to justify not taking one with this. I like it.

This is a fine gun for what it's designed for. It functions quite well with no issues. Stock sights are fairly accurate to 300 yds with Wolf polyformance 125 gr ammo

I no longer own this gun for a number of reasons. It would only take Ruger metal mags and were$$.No aftermarket .They were also hard to insrt and lock in place . Rifle would jam often and the accuracy with open sights was "iffy". It's a really cool looking carbine and I really wanted to like it ; but the lack of dependability and for the $800 price...one can do better.I(chinese ak?)

As allways, fast, hassle free shipping from Buds, and some of the lowest prices around! The mini 30 tatical I received fired all the steel cased ammo I fed it with no light primer strikes. The iron sights were right on, the stock is cheap, I prefer wood stocks myself. Overall great shooter, good brush gun.

My Dad has this rifle, and after shooting his, I had to have one. My Dad and I both like the thicker barrel and muzzle-flash on this model. It looks and shoots great. Thank you, Buds and staff. Derrick

Having issue with firing pin not always making contact with primer sent back to factory

As usual, Bud's service was great. My Mini 30 took two days to arrive and picked up on day three. I saved $85 by buying from Bud's. I'm spoiled. I bought a Ruger Mini 30 and am in love with it. I don't know why I waited so long to get back into rifles. The gun is well built, fit and finish excellent, 7.62mm has plenty of power, and the thing is a joy to shoot. Every shooter should have a Mini. The only negative is the limited number of munitions manufacturers. GET a MINI!!!!

Excellent weapon, but only takes ruger mags. Do not waste your money on aftermarket mags

Dont believe the negative comments out there - mine shoots 1.5" groups at 100m. That said, many of the reviews are correct with regard to Russian ammo issues and failure to fire. Mine works reliably with Silver Bear every round - Brown Bear almost every round, and other Russian brands are less reliable. Great rifle, cheaper to shoot than a .22, and far more capable.

Russians aren't only ones who make a great 7.62x39! Great Rifle!

Well, after receiving my new Ruger mini 30 back in August, me and a friend finally got a chance to go out to the range. I outfitted the mini with a Redfield Revolution 2-7x33. Having never shot the gun I decided to get a feel for it at 50 yards. The good news? The first shot bulls eye! Unfortunately that was the only good news. On the 7th shot something I have never seen happen on a brand new gun happened. The entire trigger assembly fell out into my hand! Not only is this an example of poor quality it is DANGEROUS! Had this obvious defect or poor quality control caused the round to not properly seat in the chamber, who knows what could have happened. Obviously I am thoroughly disgusted and will be sending it back to Ruger. I'm sure it will be my last Ruger as well. Save your $800.

Overall this weapon is awesome it arrived in great condition and functions perfectly, It is very durable and pretty lightweight.Im very happy with the Mini 30 and would recommend it to anyone who would like an alternative to a AK 47 or SKS style rifle.

Finally made it to the range with the mini-30. It ran absolutely perfect even on tula ammo. I've seen some reviews online that says the mini-14/30s have trouble with light primer strikes with tula ammo. No such trouble today. Couldn't be happier with this purchase and buds gun shop.
