I have had a Ruger GP100 blued 6 inch since 1993. This is a very solid, well crafted .357. I have found mine to be extremely accurate, perfectly reliable and easy to shoot. The double action trigger pull is a bit heavy but predictable and has smoothed out over time and use. I normally shoot single action at the range anyway, so DA trigger pull is not important to me. Spring kits for lighter pull are available from Midway, I put one in my Super Blackhawk but have not done the GP 100 yet. It is not extremely hard to change springs, but you must be comfortable disassembling and reassembling the gun which can be a little tricky, especially the trigger mechanism and putting the hammer spring on its spur.
