I had been wanting stainless.357 magnum for a while. I was torn between the S&W 686 and the GP 100. I had recently bought the GP 100 in .22lr and really liked it. From all of the reviews I had watched and read, I decided to go with the Ruger because it was regarded as "tank" like. I am so glad I did. I'm sure the Smith is a great revolver, but, I love the simplicity of the Ruger for complete disassembly. It is very accurate and the trigger pull is smooth which makes double action firing better.
Save yourself the extra $$ and get the GP 100! You will not be disappointed.
