Ruger 1022 Full Contour Synthetic Stock 22LR, Blued, Black Synth
by ernest g
Date Added: Sunday 27 February, 2011
I have owed a few 10/22 rifles over the years I customized and sold after getting out of competitive shooting. Now that Im older I wanted one that was as light as possible with no heavy bull-barrel to drag around, so I chose this synthetic stock which to me is noticeably lighter then the standard wood stock model. As predicted the gun functions great but Im giving it only 4 starts because the bolt and receiver group are much more rough cut and un-polished then earlier models IMO, a sad reality of manufacturing cost and price I suppose. Other then that I love the super light functional synthetic stock. Oh and Buds is the answer to easy no gimmick gun buying especially with their local preferred FFls which stick buy their price. The only recommendation I have for Buds is that that some identical guns are listed for the same price on both their main sit and their LE police discount sales site. If the gun is the same price (used police mini 14SS) why list them on the LE site at all.
