Beautiful workmanship and terrific shooter. I mounted a silver Nikon scope on it with matching rings. It's a great small varmint gun.

Before I bought this wheelie, I bought a similar product from another manufacturer. Mistake! First, I'm a Ruger bigot - I should've known better. American-made, of course, and when it comes to revolvers, you can pay more, but dollar-for-dollar, pound-for-pound, you can't buy better than a Ruger and this model's no exception. Being the "hunter" model, it comes with the Ruger ring bosses cut into the barrel and the double-tough Ruger rings to go in them. Securely attaching rings to other makes could be a $100 or more undertaking. Mounting the scope or red dot of your choice would be a snap but try the excellent open sights first. They may be all you want. The cylinders swap back and forth in less than 5 seconds. It is SA but in a hunting pistol, who cares? Recoil even with WMR loads is all but non-existent. Still, I fitted mine out with Hogue grips - I just like the way they feel. Cosmetically, it bears a strong resemblance to Ruger's Super Blackhawk "hunters" so it fits nicely in any gun collection that has a few of those fine arms as well. If you're looking a small game "harvester", you won't regret your purchase of this beauty. Just do it!

I really love this gun. This is the best single action revolver I have ever owned. I thought my Colt New Frontier was good, but it rates second to this one. It is a little heavy, but that is not a problem to me. I really like the scope mounting hardware that came with the gun. This is just one beautiful handgun. Thanks, Ruger!!!!

Bud's is always 5-star in every aspect. IMHO, the single six is one of those things that Ruger does best in class. Everyone in the family needs one of these. I purchased this model about a year ago from Bud's and once the Leupold scope was dialed in, this revolver is outstanding. The cottontails hated this combo last fall. I'm pretty sure the prairie dogs are not looking forward to meeting this revolver next week after the elk tag is filled and we're burning up the last few days in camp. You will not regret adding a single six to your inventory and this model is a great selection.

Very well made and well balanced. Very accurate with CCI standard velocity 22 L.R. I removed the scope and sighted in the open sights and put the scope back on with absolutely no change in point of impact. On a bench rest this revolver is capable and does print one inch groups at 25 yards.
