Panther Firearms. If you are not test firing your weapons before you send them out? At least see if a Mag will go in the lower. Bought this rifle here from Bud`s brand new. I called them to let them know the oracle wouldn`t allow the military spec mag, that came with the rifle to fit in. They told me to call Panther and if they won`t cover the shipping Bud`s would. So I did. Panther seemed the least bit interested and gave me the name and number of a repair facility in Minnesota. I called, they gave me their info of where to ship and to write a note with the problem and to send my credit card info for charges that Panther may not cover and also for return shipping. The reason I didn't insert the mag at my FFL is because it is a pawn shop. I did it with the 2 - 1911`s I bought from Bud`s and they didn`t seem too happy about it. Plus wouldn`t you think the lower should accept the mag being it is brand new from the factory? So I decided to separate the lower from the upper and really look at it. This is what I found. Two of the ridges in the lower that hold the mag secure were not milled down. Kind of like if you had one front tooth longer than your other front tooth. So the 2 they forgot to mil down are in the way of the mag going in. I`m going to find a local gunsmith and be done with this. I bought this for a platform to build on. What a disappointment. Anyhow, I am done with this, And I hope this gives you something to think about before you purchase one. Probably when all is said and done, I could have bought a decent rifle for what it will cost.
