Mossberg Tactical 22LR Adjustable Stock 25rd Magazine 37204
[37204]
$229.00
by Bryan R Date Added: Thursday 22 December, 2011
Bought this rifle about a month ago and have run about 500 rounds through it. I hope this review helps clear up alot of the misconceptions about this gun

Pros:
Price- for 250 can you really go wrong
Light- weighing in at just over 5lbs its pretty light so if you are buying this for a younger child the weight will not be an issue
5 position adjustable stock- this came stock on mine which to me who has a wife who is tiny the length of pull was adjustable to make her more comfortable shooting it.
quad rails- come with the quad rails so if your a tac-ticool nut like me you can slap on whatever craziness you want
cheap to shoot- come on its a 22lr 1000 rounds of Winchester m-22 for around 40 bucks cant go wrong. This rifle will shoot these without issue from my experience
Accuracy. I used a cheap red dot and once it was zeroed in i haven't had an issue shooting nickle sized groupings at 40 yards

CONS:
The front site is not the greatest. if you do not tighten it down it will move on you.
The magazine does move around but its a non-issue and does not cause feed issues
the magazine release is tight. when you first get this rifle it seems near impossible to remove the magazine but over time it loosens and works just fine
The carrying handle isn't removable. This to me is another con but at the same time a not issue because the rifle is shipped with a rail to mount optics on top of the carrying handle

THE IN BETWEENS

When you first get this rifle I recommend a complete tear down and cleaning. The action is shipped with so much grease that its sticky at first which causes you to have alot of jams. I wish i would have done this first. My first mag using CCI velocitors i had 3 no extractions and one time the bolt stuck open a bit. once i cleaned it up not an issue it eats the CCI ammo and the winchester M-22 rounds like candy. I have had 2 misfires with the winchester but after removing the round it appeared to be an ammo issue and not a gun issue.

the cheese grater rails on the front. I know there are alot of people who do not like the quad rails like these because they "tough on the hands" man up its a .22lr. if they are hurting your hands you need to go back to shooting your red rider bb gun.
