I give the gun 4 stars only for a few reasons: Out of the box, the sights required adjusting. Not a big deal, but it would be nice if they were lined up before leaving the factory. 30 minutes at the range and about 8 shots to fix the problem. The trigger pull on the P250 is long. Unless you're used to shooting a true double action, the average shooter will have a tendency to pull toward the side of your trigger hand. Again, not a big deal, but the action is VERY long and you have to compensate for it by having a firm grip and a crisp trigger pull. The only other detraction I have is that the gun comes from the factory bone ass dry and needs a little gun oil on the slide to break in. I had a handful of FTF's in the first few magazines until I broke the pistol down and lubricated the slide rails and chamber...to the point I would almost consider the gun "dirty". (Very easy to disassemble/reassemble, btw) Reassembled and haven't had a problem since, even cycling various brands of ammo. Bud's was great ,and for the money this is a great pistol. Just don't think you're going to win any marksmanship awards right out of the box. I've owned just about every major brand of pistol in .40 caliber and predominantly used to carrying a 1911... this is a good one, it just takes a little getting used to because of the long pull and double action, but I'm really liking it now and shoot tight (6" or so) patterns out to 25 yds. This Sig just takes a little warming up to.
