This one's a keeper!

During the first range visit, I ended up firing 25 shots of Atomic .308 Match ammo (168gr BTHP). Range was 100 yds.

The first shot was a fouling shot, followed by several 3-shot groups:

1st group: 13/16 in.
2nd group: 1/4 in.

The remaining groups ranged from 5/16 in. to 1 in. Not a bad for the initial results.

I'm not, however, a big fan of the Savage AccuTrigger. While it is crisp and free of creep, I don't like the AccuRelease blade that must be depressed prior to pulling the trigger. To me, it's a distraction and doesn't feel 'natural'. But perhaps with time I'll get used to it.

Aside from the minor issue with the trigger, I'm pretty happy with this gun as it came from the factory. Highly recommended.
