I have had this pistol for a while now and didn't realize I hadn't done the review for it . I bought it to be used for concealed carry . The weight is perfect and it shoots very accurately . The fit and finish is very nice and I really like shooting it . I don't like cleaning it though ! The breakdown process is a pain in the butt and especially putting it back together due to the design and you have to use a special tool . The first time I tried to put it back together the small spring would go flying . I took it to a gunsmith to find out that the small burr that was supposed to hold it was missing so he fixed it . Hard to believe brand new the quality control didn't notice that . Also good luck trying to find a holster for the pistol with the laser attached , I haven't found one . I love the way it fits in my hand perfectly and comfortable to shoot . I believe there has been a redesign since I bought mine so you don't have to use the tool . I have since bought another pistol for concealed carry which I shoot a little more accurate and is good quality , but I had to add a different grip . The Walther CCP grip is perfect right out of the box . I think it is a great pistol and would recommend it , but hate the disassembly / assembly .

I am obsessed with this gun. I use it as my carry and love it. Female so i have a smaller hand and i love this fit. Light easy pull trigger. Low recoil. Two down sides... sight will move on you, have to readjust more than usual and the plastic key they give you to breakdown the gun wears out after a few uses... just use a small flat head. Would highly recommend!

Bad, but not all bad. Please read this through if you’re interested in picking up a CCP. When I purchased this CCP I was on the fence about it. It’s not the Walther I know and that I’m accustomed to and at the time so was going back and forth between this one or a PPS M2 LE. Now, the CCP is set up for carry through and through. Being made for carry however, it has a pretty long trigger pull and long reset but that’s what you want under duress. Outside don that, slide removal takes a bit of getting used to, but not much. It has a strange little tool that disconnects the rear and then the slide lifts up at the rear and it’s just like a Glock otherwise. That is, until you get to the barrel. See, this pistol uses a delayed blowback operation. So it has a barrel that fixed to the frame and where you’d have your guide rod on a regular pistol, you have a tiny piston with the CCP. They call It the “softcoil” system. It’s heavier and softer than a traditional SA/DA pistol. That’s really the only differences that I see right now. Ok now for the bad... if you want a CCP, GO FOR IT!! It feels great in the hands and shoots great too. BUT!!! If you want a laser for it, and you’re thinking about this one, the Spartan, don’t. Get it out of your head and run. It is an ok laser I guess but it has a massive flaw. The activation switch is a small button on each side of it that sits at the front of the trigger guard. The problem is, if a gnat farts the laser turns on. Even when holstered in a Kydexholster, the darn thing will activate. Walking around with it holstered, in the car, sitting in a drawer...the smallest bump and the laser is activated. It is HORRIBLE!!! Ok so thats it. The gun is fantastic and don’t hesitate to pick one up. But the laser is terrible. So I give the gun 5 stars and the laser 1 Star. I hope this helps someone and please excuse any typos you may encounter. :) B

Overall a nice little pistol. 100 rounds through it after picking it up from my FFL and one FTF (monarch HP, not the best quality). I think the build quality is good, and I love the grip, very ergonomic. The sights SUCK, they are polymer (which isn't a deal-breaker) and the white dot is recessed so far into the sight it makes it VERY hard to pick up. I will be putting a set of truglo night sights on this. So.... Pros: Good build quality Easy to rack Reliable Ergonomic grip Laser actually is pretty good, feels cheap but zero's and holds fine Large, squared trigger guard Pic rail Con's: SIGHT's SUCK!!!!!!! Gun gets VERY hot if you put several mags through it quickly (not like others in it's class, the gas piston system makes the area around and in front of the trigger assembly VERY hot) Break down isn't ideal (while I don't find it as terrible as others, it isn't Glock easy) As a side note: I don't really know if the gas piston design really lessens recoil. I can definately tell the slide is easier to rack than other guns in the CCP's category, but honestly I couldn't tell a substantially lessened felt recoil Overall, I would recommend this as a carry piece. I would give this 5/5 if it weren't for the horrendous sights and the temperature issue.

I love this gun. It's my first handgun and I couldn't have chosen a better firearm. Easy to use, smooth action and very easy to handle. I would recommend this gun to anyone.

Bought this 9mm for my wife because of the easier action. Still a little strong for her, but time on the range should make it smoother. Extremely satisfied with the product except the forward sight adjustments provided do not make enough adjustment for it shooting low. Doesn't matter that much since she uses the laser sight anyway. Thumb slide release is pretty hard to use without taking tension off of slide with off hand. It also should ease up with use. Would recommend this gun to anyone.

The experience I have had with Bud's has been awesome. I purchased this Firearm NEW and it was delivered quickly to my FFL dealer. This Firearm is easy to get used to and use. The recoil is nice and crisp, easy to manage. The slide is nice and easy to Rack. The firearm is easy to aim so much so I don't use the laser that came with it. The grips are amazing and unbelievably comfortable. Trigger pull breaks at same spot consistently. Cleaning a lot of people complain about this. I watched a few YouTube videos on how to clean this firearm and have no issues with it at all. I have ordered other items from Buds as well and they have great pricing and quick shipping.

Walther CCP 9MM Walter makes fine weapons, but this gun is a nightmare. The brwak down process requires a tool, very difficult to breakdown and clean and if the reassembly process goes away, it requires a trip to the gun Smith. Buds Service was awesome as usual and I can't hold them responsible, but this gun is not a good choice.

What a nice pistol. The CCP has great ergonomics and feels so good in hand. The gas delayed blowback action slows and softens recoil, though field stripping is a little more fidgety. Still the pistol handles very well, shoots to point of aim and is utterly reliable. The laser is an added bonus that really helped my wife get on target quickly. Mounting it was a breeze and adjusting it to point of aim was easy as well. The slide really is easy to manipulate and the grip shape is great for small, less strong hands. This is smaller, lighter and easier to use than her Sig 320 compact, so she is more likely to carry it. Every detail is dripping with German engineering, from very nice magazines to details like extra front sights and an excellent manual. The thing just shoots like crazy.

I'm very happy with my purchase and really appreciate the great price and additional discount for being an honorably discharged veteran. The delivery time was excellent also. The 9mm I purchased is easy to rack and much easier to fire than any of the ones I've handled since I began having problems with osteoarthritis a few years ago. I look forward to working up to being abk to fully laid the clips and fire the gun when my hands feel better.

After test firing a number of handguns, I settled on the Walther CCP 9mm as my first weapon of choice for personal protection. This is my first handgun purchase ( I own a number of long guns and shotguns as an avid hunter). After much research, I found this purchase at Bud's to be the best price available especially because it included a laser sight. The process of selecting and buying the gun at Bud's was a easy as possible. Although, I haven't had the opportunity to fire this weapon, I have several observations about it. It is a first rate manufactured machine. It is so well built and solid, the polar opposite of a Saturday night special. One of the reasons I selected this gun was because of the grip. It fits my hand so well and the gun felt comfortable in my hand. When I shot the test fire CCP, my balance and aim was more than I expected. I haven't shot a handgun in over 40 years (since the military .38 revolver I shot in training in the U. S. Air Force). My five shots from about 20 feet with the CCP were all within a 2 inch circle. Between the comfort of the feel and the result of the test fire, I was sold. I particularly like the trigger pull (smooth and doesn't load up to fire, it just fires). They have done something with the gas release that reduces the recoil somewhat allowing for quicker target recovery. I have great expectations of the value of this outstanding purchase.

Let me say I bought this for my wife. She has had trouble racking the slide on other compact 9mm, but this one is much lighter. The gun is super accurate, feels awesome in the hand. Fit and finish is average, kind of like my Kahr CW9. Sights are ok, but nothing special and are plastic. The major complaint is the trigger. It is not heavy, but pull it slow and it feels like there is sand in it. We shot 200 rounds through it and it got a little better. The gun functioned flawlessly. If it were my gun, I would have bought a Shield or XDS. However the major benefit is the ease of racking the slide compared to other guns. It is piston driven which allows for a lighter recoil spring. I would say its about 75% as hard to pull back as my Kahr cw9. So the trade off for a gritty trigger is the ease of racking the slide. There are a lot of tutorials on how to smooth the trigger on line. Also, we got ours with the LaserMax, and while I don't care for a laser, my wife loves it and dry firing it she can see what she is doing with the gun when she pulls the trigger and has gotten better at it. At the end of the day you want a gun you feel comfortable with and she does with this one. Giving it 4 stars because they could have done a better job with the trigger.
