Let me start this review by saying that I am a large man. The trigger pull on this firearm is so stiff that it is necessary for me to use both my trigger finger and middle finger to pull the trigger. I am not exagurating this in the least. I don't know what the exact pull is if I were to guess I would say 25 to 50 pounds. After firing 50 rounds my hand is sore today from pulling the trigger. Despite the heavy pull the gun shoots well. I had no malfunctions and shot 4" to 5" groups with 3F black power at 100 yards.

I Have a spener carbine by chiappa in 45lc, real nice. This spencer rifle I received is just as nice, the action workd a little smoother and did not have to clean off excess greas and oil. Wood is real nice with really nice wood grain. Comparing to old photo's of originals it looks right on. I also have a original spencer carbine made end of 1864 of beginning of 1865 in great condition, these chiappa's are right on but without the floppy finger extractor. The 45 LC colt is real accurate at 100 yards with sight down. Got 56-50 coming from buffalo arms, can't wait to shoot the 3 Band full length spencer rifle with correct ammo! Great quality and finish.
