My experience buying from buds was great will def buy from buds again. After months and months of research the only entry level ARs around 5-700$ I found to come close to this weapon is core15 m4 scout and ruger ar556 which u probably can't find a ruger 556 so that only left the core15 m4 scout to compare to the mp15 sport and I chose this bc we all know s&w doesn't make crap weapons period. Not saying others are crap just think u get more for your money with this one. I don't remember seeing a really bad review on it. It doesn't have a forward assist or dust cover and that's the only crap ppl can give this gun which any knowledgeable person knows those aren't needed and there's ways to clear a malfunction without forward assist. The original AR didn't have a forward assist and a lot of shooters wish makers would do away with it. Theres a video on youtube where a guy left his bolt open threw it on the ground kicked dirt and gravel in it and left it out in the rain and it still fired and worked. The insides and quality of this weapon make up for the lack of FA and dust cover. The bolt carrier group and barrel are the heart of ARs and tells wether its a good gun or bad one. This AR has a chrome lined bolt carrier and gas key and gas key is properly staked. This gun is the best in its class and better than most guns $100 more and it does still have the melonite treated barrel they just can't call it that anymore which is just as good or better than chrome lined. No others in its price range has that. The gun is very well built and eats any ammo u want to feed it its not finicky at all nor is there any slop between the upper and lower like others. Like I said s&w doesn't make crappy weapons period so u know your getting a quality product and that's why I chose it over the rest. They changed barrel from 1in8 5r to regular 1in9 twist a few years ago which a couple of guys that have the old one have shot the 1in9 and they can't tell a difference and they shoot a lot and own several ARs. The barrel is also thicker than most other ARs in its class which means u can shoot longer without it getting too hot and losing its grouping. Oh and if u wanted a forward assist and dust cover u can always buy a stripped upper receiver with that and put it on. U get the most bang for your buck with this AR15. U won't regret buying this quality rifle and Buds has the lowest prices out of all other gun buying sites.
