Bersa T22NKL Thunder 22 22 Long Rifle 3.5" 10+1 Black Syn Gr [T22NKL]
$301.00

Bought this gun as the cheap ammo range gun for my wife who already has the Thunder .380. She loves the .380, and is equally impressed with the .22 model. For under $300 delivered, this is a good value. Fun to shoot, surprisingly accurate, easy to take down and clean, and exactly the same size/profile as the Thunder .380. If you're there to work on technique, it's a lot cheaper to send .22's through the paper than .380's.
After 500 rounds, the only downside is the occasional stovepipe when using cheap bulk ammo. I found that a little more polishing of the ramp and a proper cleaning and oiling reduced stovepipes to 1 in 20 rounds. I don't get any stovepipes using higher quality ammo. 100 rounds of Remington and CCI went through trouble free, but price is higher than bulk Federal. Obviously you get what you pay for. Bersa makes a great product -- very good value. But you must be willing to clean your handgun regularly in order to get trouble free performance, especially on the .22.
