I was very satisfied with the whole process of purchasing and the hand gun itself.

Seen this gun when it first came out. I wanted it but did not want to pay the price. I finally talked myself into buying it and I'm so glad I bought one. Great shooting gun. I been carrying it because it is so light. you almost forget you carrying it. Shot over a thousand rounds and a hiccup now and then but blame that on the ammo. Got a great price buying it from Buds Gun shop as always.

This is a well-made handgun, performs well with high-velocity ammo. Comfortable in the hand (well, it's a 191!), even in my tiny little paws.

Dissapointed in gun. Not up to the Browning weapons I'm used to. Sold the gun . Wm Smith

It's a great little pistol, feeds CCI minimags with no failures for over 700 rounds. It breaks down easy for cleaning, and is nice and loud for a .22 thanks to the short barrel. Accuracy is nothing special, but it's a 3 inch barreled .22lr with GI sights. Speaking of which, the GI sights are pretty awful. They also appear to be a non-standard size, so replacements are hard to come by. I recommend paining the front sight so you can actually see it when shooting at a black target. Another problem is that i'ts a scaled down GI 1911, complete with a tiny little hammer bite on every shot. Again, the grip safety is it's own size, and Browning doesn't want to sell aftermarket ones yet. Going all 1960's with it and bobbing down the hammer solve this little issue. After painting the front sights and bobbing the hammer, it becomes an amazingly fun tiny .22 that's perfect for blasting Axis-Power soda cans.

Accurate 11 shot .22 LR Semi Auto pistol with quality far exceeding it's price. The best thing about this gun is the exact duplication of a full size Browning 1911 except that it seems just a little bigger than half the size! Shot 200 rounds of all types of .22 LR through it without a jam. Buckmark lookout!

This is my first 'personal' pistol and I bought it because I wanted something to have handy. Even though everyone likes to point out that it isn't really a home defense gun, being that it is a .22, I feel that it affords some sense of security because it is so easy to use. I may move up to something larger for that purpose as I gain confidence with this 1911-22. I took it to the range with my son and although he was the main one telling me 'it isn't a good self-defense piece,' he immediately got a big grin on his face while shooting it - really fun to use! It just fits my hand and I like the way the safety works. It is very accurate, although, as others have mentioned, the sights are somewhat difficult to see. I'm no expert, but I was able to get a pretty good grouping on the target. We ran all kinds of .22 through it. No big issues or problems with any of it. I would definitely purchase this handgun again - very happy with this purchase.

I purchased my Browning 1911-22 through Bud's lay-away program. Now for the good part, I shot around 200 rounds through it the first time after buying it........it performed flawlessly ! I had bought a heavy canvas bank coin bag through Ebay which I filled with various .22 LR shells, Remington, Winchester, etc....... which are all good quality by the way. Then I bought another coin bag that contains only CCI Mini Mag .22LR shells, and the difference was the accuracy. Although the gun cycled the "mixed shells" flawlessly, the CCI's were by far more accurate. I would highly recommend the Browning 1911-22 and like another reviewer stated in their review, I would like to see Browning make this gun in 9mm. The service from Bud's is 5 star and I have already recommended Bud's to several of my friends and acquaintances. Thanks again to Bud's for their lay-away program, without it would have taken me quit a bit longer before I could purchase my gun.

This Browning 1911-22 is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. The quality and attention to detail of this firearm are excellent. It’s a beautiful pistol and it’s the right size for the .22 LR and 10 round capacity. There are other 1911’s in .22 at half the price, but in my opinion, those pistols are a waste of materials, in regard to weight and size. The Browning 1911-22 or 1911-380 are the same size and for the size, weight and ergonomics, I would say it’s the perfect size and weight for concealed carry. It’s perfect for beginners, children and so forth, as well as experienced shooters. It’s a ball to shoot. I’d like to own at least a couple more and maybe a couple in .380 for comfortable concealed carry. The price is high, but once you receive it, you’ll agree it was worth it. I plan on passing this one down and hope my child will do the same with their children. It’s that good of a gun. There are only three negatives in my opinion. The first being the price and only receiving one magazine, even though the Browning box it comes in has slots for two additional magazines. Makes you feel like someone stole your magazines before shipment. Get with the program Browning. Three magazines are ideal, but two are necessary for any new firearm purchase, especially in the price range you’ve set. I recently bought a new Glock 19 that comes with three magazines standard for less than what this Browning cost. I don’t want to get into the Glock debate with anyone, just pointing out that Browning needs to step up their game a little. I’m sure all can agree that when you pay $500-$700 for a new .22 LR pistol, you should receive more than one magazine. Not much to ask (or provide). The second negative is the magazine disconnect. Some people like them, but most don’t. However, you can override the disconnect feature by pressing the magazine release as you pull the trigger, so that’s not too bad. The third negative is that this hasn’t been made available in 9mm yet. In 9mm, this pistol would sweep the concealed carry market. The .380 is a John Browning design and adds to the nostalgia factor of the pistol. While .380 is a capable round and perfect for some, 9mm is what most would want. With both .380 and 9mm being the same diameter round makes the possibility of a Browning 1911-9 attainable. Browning, please improve on giving the people what they want and we’ll happily pay the price you want. Negatives aside, this is one fine pistol that I’m pleased to own and shoot!

Purchased a pair of these classic firearms for a gift to me and my wife. Items were accurately described, and are exactly an 85% .22LR version of the 1911. Easy to shoot, accurate, and after 200 rounds, no problems. Easy to clean (classic 1911), and a delight to own. Fun weapon for plinking, eye candy for the collector, and a great addition to the collection. Buds service was outstanding, start to finish. 10 out of 10, without question. Notifications were great, data accurate, no problems at all with communications or delivery. First time buyer, definitely going to be a repeat.

This is one sweet handgun. bought it for my wife to plink at the range with and she loves it. put 150 rounds through it and not one failure to load using browning and cci .22lr. would highly recommend. disassembles just like a full size 1911, and its cheap to shoot. Great service from buds as usual.

The perfect plinking gun. Have experienced some problems with this automatic involving spring on barrel. You have to replace whole barrel just to get spring fixed, cost: $200.

SWEET, SWEET, SWEET right out of the box. Nice little 22 shooter, no FTF, or FTE during first rounds. Not the cheapest 22 pistol, but if you are looking for a quality handgun it is all here. Comes apart just like a full size 1911 and is just as easy to clean and reassemble. Machined surfaces are straight, free of burrs, and glide nicely when together. NEGATIVE....come on Browning one magazine, really for a $500.00 pistol. Now that is cheap! Had to buy three more on line at $29.00 a piece. If money is not a real concern and you want a high grade 22 plinker, look no further!

Picked this weapon up for my wife and must say after a day on the range we both agree it was a great investment. We took 2 types of Remington ammo yellow jacket and thunderbolt, CCI, winchester super x. The only ammo it did not like was the winchester super x. It was the 29 grain ammo and was not strong enough to even eject the shell. No other problems with this weapon. Its accuracy and recoil make this a joy to shoot gun. My wife loves it and can't say enough about it. I would strongly recommend this 22 lr for anyone in the market for a semi auto 22.

This is a beautiful little rendering of the 1911 in "small scale!" Browning clearly paid attention to getting all the details just right so that when one first picks this little gem up, the details enhance the visual and tactile experience! I've read that the 1911-22 is about 66% scale, yet in person it seems even smaller, but perhaps that's due to the general design that also makes a full size 1911 more compact than many of the "blocky" modern pistols. The finish appears to be a nice, even Parkerize, with no blemishes anywhere. Grips are tiny, checkered walnut scales perfectly in keeping with it's larger cousin. The tiny hammer, grip safety, trigger, and mainspring housing are all crisply detailed...this really IS an exquisitely crafted "miniature" 1911! The little gun fits a medium-large hand perfectly, and due to it's slim profile and light weight, could easily be tucked into a waistband pouch, or pocket sleeve. Function is smooth and precise right out of the box. Those willing to pay thousands of dollars for a full-size 1911 should think nothing of paying the asking price on this piece because the manufacturer apparently took pains to produce a smooth operating, reliably functional mini .22 pistol right out of the box! So far I've shot a hundred rounds of Blazer - no malfunctions, another hundred rounds of Aguila Supermax 30 grain HP - no malfunctions, 100 rounds of Aguila Intercepter .22LR also without a bobble or a hitch! Ican't decide whether to buy another 1911-22 compact to create a matched miniature set, or get the "full size" to compliment this little jewel! Bud's layaway plan made it easy to add this to my collection!
